@renee.
You know that you must have Java installed twice, do you (Java Active X for Internet Explorer / Java for Firefox.)?
Your Plugins list in firefox should not only contain the "Java Deployment Toolkit" but the "Java Platform" as well. Under "Addons" you should find the "Java Console" being installed. (As shown in my screenshots)
If you don´t have these, go here (for german language) with your Firefox Browser, not your Internet Explorer - otherwise you´ll automatically get Java for IE, when you click on "Download". Download and install it.
Some possible solutions you may find here in case your youtube problem should be of another kind:

Yes, unieno:thum: - it´s good to keep our brains alive (to some degree or the other:lol:.)
--------------
Yesterday evening - frozen mouse, bluescreen (memory manager), corrupted files again. Now I try a SATA hdd as bootup and system storage device (instead of my Intel SSD). If it runs stable for a week, then the SSD should be to blame.
I ban faulty hardware and software - would be nice, if my ban worked.
