I have a Merlin-2-dm800 in flash.Before I installed sim2barryallen ,I was using Barryallen v5.27. I installed sim2barryallen v3.0 by telnet with the following command:

Everything went without any error messages.After restarting the dreambox, I could still find the barryallen in the Plugin list. I opened it and I could see list of my installed images and then I rebooted my dreambox in order to try using other images installed in the usb,but the usual barryallen boot menu did not appear.My dreambox only started the image in the flash,and barryallen disappeared from the plugin list.

Seems i had the same problem with BA, installed fine rebooted no boot option then another reboot and no plugin either. Tried again and same error and this was with a older gemini image.

disappearance of barry allen after rebooting is common problem with versions of barry allen and related to inability of image to detect certain types of flash(sometimes ok and sometimes not)
no solution for that apart of installing barry allen again from TSpanel hoping it stays else you have to change the flash image and nobody can say one specific image for certain usb flash model

I am using barry allen 5.2.7 to backup image in multiboot and only open pli cannot be install in flash using barry allen backup. Anyone can help me on this. Thanks.

@mfaraj57 thanx for support sim2barryallen , here & in ur tunisiasat forum i saw ppls having trouble for stability of last sim2barryallen v3 & v4 (including me:rolleyes:) it will not stay after reboot & it disappears , the only thing is to reinstall again as i read , please can u fix this problem .

also for the time being i am using BA 5.2.11 & it works perfect , but does it make & support backup for ssl84a images ?

sim2barryalen based on barryallen 5.1.54
i will try in next version to be based on latest barryallen version

Can I normally install sim2barryallen if I'm using flashexpander? Or it must be installed onto internal flash?

Is the new sim2-barryallen 6.07 safe to be use on clone box and also for making backup as understand that barry allen from version 6.0.4 and above have protection against clone. Advice needed. Thanks.

I think sim2 barry allen 6.01 is more stable but all sim2 barry allen are safe on clone.

i am using latest "enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen_6.0.7_sim2_mf57_mipsel.ipk " with my clone 800se & domica9 ssl84a# image in flash & all multiboot images works ok
