I had this problem also, sometimes it runs sometimes not, i found the reason. My dish was not right adjusted, so I have fixed it and now all is fine again... Maybe it will help you...

well when i am using another receiver like dreambox 500 and some other like Hiremco...they are not doing faulty things...maybe dm 800 needs the most accurate dish...but we use the same system in our building so i cant do anything about the dishes coz everyone using the same dishes...

That is a sim2 image so as long as your 800 is a sim2 clone then yes it is as easy as that, just flash via web browser.

I have change the image on my DM800 several times and always gone back to RamiMaher's blackhole. I have always found the image UI has a very good EPG. The one I am now using (DreamEliteBH_DM800_130A-.nfi) appears to be unsupported in the addons. (no connection found)

The latest BH images can only be flashed externally via USB, how is that done?
Do I simply copy the image to USB ?

if you are using a multiboot like meoboot or barryallen yes you can put the image onto the stick and install it that way, but it should be a nfi file and that can be installed through your web browser the way you flash an image normally. just make sure the image is for your sim if its a clone.

Download 82 open the rar file and drag the nfi version of the file to your desktop.

Now flash that file as you would a complete image.

Power on your 800 press and hold the standby button till you see the IP then flash the bl82 via web browser.

Personally i dont see a need to use it yet and my advice is wait for some pre patched images.

it shows sim201 #76A
but there is no sticker on the back/bottom of the dm800

is the info it displays correct?
can i reflash my device with a suitable firmware that supports sim201 BL76A?

or am i missing something?

Id say it was correct mate

You can take the lid off though look for the sim in the bottom right hand corner and match it to the picture of the sim2 from this thread

A friend bought it for me, but he lives there!
So there is a big change he bought it there, will ask and double check it before i flash.


Does it make a difference when i usa a image for, lets say 76D
instead of 76A?

If you have a Sim2.01 box i suggest using the SSL82#

Most images will downgrade the SSL if needed

Also make sure u have a computer with dreamup, RS232 (nullmodem) cable and COM port nearby incase anything goes wrong

Can you guide me to a image that i can use?
im kinda confused about what i can do now.
Just pick one, or can i upgrade the BL with a image flash... i think not

The bl is flashed with the image so it will upgrade the bl at the same time.
