Yes thats what i'm taking about thnxs @ slayer7 ,
@ dog-man correct any TBS IS 100% OKAY for 4:2:2
Sorry if i was miss leading ..

i was only suggesting going for the best possible option TBS as @ Slayer7 has shown in his link above : )

but even cheaper TBS will indeed work fine too such as my old TBS5980 USB QBOX Which ive had for more than 8 years now and still working just fine : )

vuga/viark is a great option but as dog-man has mentioned correctly PC DVB Card/Box is the only REAL Option for ALL 4:2:2 Feeds .

cheers !

I'M NOT SURE 100% IF TBS Qbox 5927 Pro WILL Do 4K or not but Yes it is fine for 4:2:2 i'm sure someone can confirm if TBS Qbox 5927 Pro is capable of UHD 4K OR NOT ??
IT Will work with Multi-stream channels anyhow so perhaps 4K is ok too i'm not sure .

cheers !

tb5927 usb

TBS 5927 does All resolutions and codecs (e.g.: 1080p, FullHD, 4K, MPEG, H.264, HEVC and many more) are supported, the only thing it doesnt support is DVB-S2X which i have no idea if its common or rare. it also does blindscan 1 & 2 apparently

DVB-S2X is not common at the moment.

I am not sure but think you might need a specific type of LNB to recieve DVB-S2X as well as a capable receiver.

Not something I have looked into much as it is uncommon these days but will be used more and more as time goes on.

Yes but a less powerful one will work as well.

OK thanks it's just what I have to try with. ATM I use this for my V1 tables on 4TB SSD drive and V2 on HDD

I Have not used the card yet to watch the streams but 4 2 2 I would use it for.

Are there any GFX cards currently available which accelerate 422? Don't think so - 422 decode will be done entirely in software, so a CPU with significant grunt is required.

Of course, the NVidia GFX is useful to have for RBT, but will be ignored for 422 whether H264 or H265. So CPU, CPU, CPU! in the budget spend.

The tuner itself is agnostic about the video codec... it's just data / ts packets it sees. So, if the tuner can lock the transponder, it will pass on for decryption & decoding all packets irrespective of whether those ts packets contain H262/4/5 420/422 audio/video/teletext/whatever.

Ya 4:2:2 itself isn't bad at all right. It's 4k and 4k 422 that is bad. As in you need very powerful cpu and graphics card

One of my computers is quite light weight cmpared to the others and can struggle with 4.2.2 but will show 4k as long as there is not too much fast motion taking place. So I think perhaps 4.2.2 is harder for a computer than 4K. Tested with same graphics card. GTX660 which is capable of showing 4K from experience.
