I do not understand why there is no manufacturer of E2 Boxs who bet on it, would be a success in sales...

They will have to pay for a licence to use 4:2:2 as it is covered by copy write this is expensive from what I have heard,

This probably why the TBS5925 Professional DVB-S2 TV Tuner USB -External TV Tuner Box for Laptop and PC costs £200 as the electronics in the little box are only worth about £30 it is the software that you pay for that makes it all work.

Tbs software is useless for 4:2:2 reception without lav filters so tbs do not offer such reception. Tbs is from China so they do not have to pay for any licence because they are in China.

Azbox paid for 422 reception licence ? I do not think so.

Let's talk about who can add to wetek play2 openelec software that opens 422 ? Any one knows smart people who can do it ? Just ask them.

If that was true "China so they do not have to pay for any licence because they are in China"

There would be loads of 4:2:2 receivers coming out of China & there is none atm

None of them because there is no channels broadcasting in 4:2:2 , they are only feeds and the feeds are not for public. There is no need for 4:2:2 reception from set-top-box producers point of view,no demand for such boxes. No 422 channels = no demand

If this were possible it had already happened with first Wetek Play, many people questioned the support of wetek and the answer was always negative...

If they could sell another 5,000 to 10,000 receivers by adding a small chip they will do it as they would fly off the shelves :D:D $$$$$$ :thum:

Did not see anything to confirm that reproduces this format...

MINUSES
• a little too expensive (approx. 1300 zł for the basic version)
• at the moment does not support the HbbTV, the manufacturer promises that possibility
malfunctioning tab Blindscan
• the lack of a Wi-FI
• missing Polish satellite operators in FastScan
• too little Polish application (competition has a lot more)
improve service requires fomatu 4: 2: 2 for the transfer of satellite

AX 4KBOX HD51 with UHD and HEVC

£259 is not bad for a satellite receiver of this standard providing it has good support from SU well worth it,

Currently there is no competition out there for a satellite box has this specification it has all the hardware on board to resolve most of the transmissions,

Quote from the specification sheet write up:-
The second plugin is a real treat for the so-called. DX-passengers, or blindscan (scan blindly). So far this plugin does not work properly, which does not mean that you can not play with the turntable in the hunt for feeds (dosyły satellite). This problem has been reported to the authors firmware, who promised to look into it. You can manually search for those feeder. The receiver can cope not only with dosyłami MPEG-2, but also in the MPEG-4 (both 4: 2: 0 and 4: 2: 2). To my surprise the dosyły compression HEVC. And all this in just 90-cm antenna. Some of these feeder tuner does not pick up, if only because of coding or too little bowl. I would like to highlight that not every incrementally uploaded 4: 2: 2 is the image. It has however no sound. That was until yesterday, when I was able to pick up on one of the satellites uncoded incrementally uploaded 4: 2: 2 with a concert Prague Philharmonic. Could programmers deal with the problem? This question time will answer. So far tuner dosyły 4: 2: 2 searches.

Just needs a few more tweaks of the software for some features to work.

Noone actually confirms it.
The author of the test says:
"Not every 4:2:2 feed shows picture. It has sound though."
To me, this looks like he confused 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 at some point and probably none of the real 4:2:2 feeds had picture. By the way, the concert from Prague did not show picture.

Think you haven't realized the question.
E.g. my E2 receiver can record 4:2:2 but cannot display picture.
The question was, does a Android Box display the 4:2:2 stream/recording correctly. Answer is yes.

Did you mean Mpeg4 4:2:2 ? Can it open Mpeg4 4:2:2 ?
These Android boxes are 60-70$
Can anyone confirm that Android Boxes, such as K1 Plus, opens Mpeg4 4:2:2 format?

Kedarz great found !

I CAN CONFIRM THAT SMARTPHONE WITH ANDROID OPENS 4:2:2 FILES BY USING MXPLAYER !!! THAT IS CRAZY !

STB PRODUCERS LIKE TECHNOMATE , VU+ THINK WE ARE STUPID AND BELIEVE THEM THAT STB LIKE SOLO 4K CANNOT OPEN 4:2:2 ! THEY DO NOT WANT THEIR SET-TOP-BOX TO OPEN 4:2:2 THEREFORE WE WATCH IT ON OUR SMARTPHONES !

Everyone can try and check on your Android Smartphone with app MXplayer on it the 4:2:2 mpeg 4 files below :

On Smartphone Mxplayer change from hardware decoding HW to software decoding SW !

1. I recorded on 8 west today 12606 V 4150 4:2:2 it was 16 apsk so I have to record with openbox sx

It is no surprise streaming on Android works. The same goes for a Windows/Linux machine. Besides it is usually more comfortable to sit in your living room with a notebook and watch 4:2:2 than with a smartphone whose screen is rather small.
We still need a proper 4:2:2 box to eliminate the need for streaming.
