4:2:2 What Receivers?

Yes, it is working on PC with VLC but I think on android it will be working with boxes. For example record and play with the same time. Record with DVB app in the background and play with MXPlayer. I don't have anybox with android and I don't know it will be possible with record and play one file on the same time.

If it is possible to record and play
the recording with mxplayer at the same time. Mxplayer takes usage of all CPU cores so to play it your receiver has to be powerful like wetek play 2 which is 4 core CPU and penta core Gpu , Ariva 4K also has
Chipset: Amlogic S905-B, Quad core Cortex A53 @ 2.02 GHz . You must have cam for entering biss keys for Android Stb.

Play a recorded 4:2:2 feed is one thing but has anyone managed to play 4:2:2 live feed on Android? :) Such as K2 Pro Android 5.1 box, it has 4K tuner aswell. Has support for Biss / Cccam and blind scan but DTV app doesn't support 4:2:2. I have not managed anyway, just got audio, no video.

Did you try to open recorded 4:2:2 files by using Mxplayer on K2 PRO ?

I've heard that it works in Kodi, not in basic TV app.
Also you have to install openelec-kodi-tvheadend and then you'll be able to run Oscam or Cccam there. In Kodi you have options to choose codec, and other things, interlaced/deinterlaced...you have to find way to watch 422.

I'm not speaking it from my experience, that told me users of K1 Android boxes.

It's little odd that noone is able to make linux/E2 codec/support for 422, for decade now, it's not some new issue it lasts for long time. I remember I couldn't play mpeg4 , then .avi on first enigma boxes, but after some time it was supported, only format that noone care and developing is 422....

Maybe ffmpeg. In IPTVPlayer plugin there is the eplayer3 which uses ffmpeg's libraries. I have tried with 2.8.3 and 2.8.5 versions but without success.

User of wetek play 2 confirms that this Stb can play 422 recording with both mxplayer and BSplayer but he cannot check 422 feeds because he does not have dish pointed at satellite position where 422 feeds are broadcasted.

Someone else has to check If wetek play2 can record 422 and play with BSplayer at the same time but now when we know that wetek play2 can play 422 recording it is quite possible to record and play the same 422 recording at the same time.

TM know that it is possible but have distanced themselves from 4:2:2 stb by removing a thread on this subject for whatever reason. :eek:

it looks like my feed days are over as more and more feeds are in 422 with no new satellite boxes coming on line I Am Not up to put all these things on my pc to open them some vids on now to do it would to nice for as who are a bit slow on this sort of thing and thick
