WREG TV has made it official that they won't be adding any candidates to tonight's Mayoral debate. We'll find out soon enough if Jerry Lawler is really going to sue as a result of this or not.

Linda McMahon's advertisements for her Senate run have been airing on ABC's affiliate in New York City everyday lately.

WWE Confirms Rey Mysterio's Return From Suspension

As noted earlier, WWE has confirmed two more main events for the upcoming "Hell In A Cell" pay-per view event on October 4th (next Sunday).

One of those matches is for the Unified tag-titles and features Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Batista & Rey Mysterio. A lot of fans have sent in emails asking how Mysterio is able to work the PPV if he is currently serving a suspension.

It's pretty simple. Mysterio's suspension officially went into effect on September 2nd. The suspension was a 30-day deal, which will be concluded by the time next Sunday and the "Hell In A Cell" PPV rolls around. How WWE is able to advertise a currently suspended star while he is still under suspension is a different topic.

JR Blog: Dennis Miller/RAW, Al Sharpton Focus, Jeff Hardy

The following are excerpts from the latest online blog of WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

JR on Dennis Miller hosting RAW: The talented and caustic Dennis Miller says that he will be the guest host of Raw sometime this year. I doubt if that Monday Night Football thing will be addressed and hopefully not Miller's exploits on the O'Reilly Factor but if allowed to be the performer that he is I can see Miller providing some stinging verbal jabs. I could easily see Miller, in character, as one of the most "despised" hosts on Monday night's show as in someone who would embrace Randy Orton or more importantly a young antagonist like Jack Swagger or The Miz.

JR on Jeff Hardy's reality show: I hear that the previously discussed Jeff Hardy reality show is still on the drawing board pending, I assume, the results of Jeff's legal entanglement being resolved. From what I hear, the Jeff Hardy reality show concept is not dead.

JR on Rev. Al Sharpton hosting RAW: I expect the Reverend Al Sharpton, therefore WWE, to garner a ton of pub from Reverend Al's Raw appearance Monday night. The post Raw comments from media talking heads all over the country will be significant as Sharpton is a lightning rod for publicity and his voice has been heard at the forefront of many controversial topics. I can easily see where Reverend Al Sharpton might become the most controversial guest host to ever appear on Raw. From Cedric the Entertainer to Reverend Al Sharpton is quite the segue of diverse personalities.

Jim Ross Comments on Rumors of Bret Hart in WWE

Jim Ross recently appeared on "The Pain Clinic" radio show which can be heard at FeelThePain.net. Amongst other topics, Jim Ross commented on the possibility of Bret Hart returning to WWE and noted that while Hart said that he is interested in a return, he is most likely NOT looking for something full-time, but rather a special guest appearance that would only require one, possibly two dates of work with the company.

WWE Posts Article About NFL Star Hosting RAW Next Week

The following is from WWE.com:

Next week's special guest host for Monday Night Raw is no stranger to pressure situations and making snap decisions.

Just hours after leading the Pittsburgh Steelers against the San Diego Chargers, Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback of the defending NFL Super Bowl Champions, will guest host Monday Night Raw at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., this Monday.

And he's not coming alone. Roethlisberger, the youngest Super Bowl winning quarterback in NFL history, will be bringing protection in the form of his Steelers' offensive line teammates to Wilkes-Barre.

"Big Ben" joins the prestigious list of past Raw celebrity guest hosts, including Olympic gold medalist Shaquille O’Neal, Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Piven and television legend Bob Barker.

Roethlisberger frequently attends Raw and SmackDown with his Steelers teammates when WWE visits Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena, which gives him up-close knowledge of the Superstars and Divas he will have control over next Monday night.

Roethlisberger's charitable foundation, The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation, seeks to provide support for police and fire departments throughout the United States and to enhance the quality of life for residents of Findlay, Ohio (his hometown) and Pittsburgh.

For the third season in a row, The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation will be distributing grants to police and fire departments in Pittsburgh and in the cities and surrounding communities of each regular season away opponent for the Steelers in 2009. The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation has invited police and fire departments in the eight cities to submit proposals detailing their needs.

In commenting on why the mission of the foundation is so important to him, Roethlisberger said, “It was an honor and a privilege to work with police and fire departments in and around the Pittsburgh area as well as with others around the country. We have had the opportunity to see first-hand how important (police)dogs are to these men and women who risk their lives every day to protect us. It’s incredible to see the strong bond that is formed between the dogs and their partners both on the job and at home.”

What plays will the two-time Super Bowl Champion draw up for the Raw Superstars and Divas? Will "Big Ben" call an audible, mixing things up for the next pay-per-view event, WWE Bragging Rights?

Find out next Monday as Roethlisberger breaks the huddle on Raw Monday night, 9/8 CT, on USA Network.

Hardy Claims "Sins" Comment Was A Work On Internet Media

After "tweeting" earlier that he was tired of being punished for "someone else's sins," Matt Hardy posted the following MySpace Blog update claiming he was simply working the internet media again:

"Last night, since almost every WWE personality was in Boston for The Decade Of Smackdown show, we all went out to eat after the show last night. A hug tab ended up being comped, which was very cool. Everyone was gonna leave generous tips because the meal was free obviously, and we wanted to take great care of our servers. I was one of the last ones to leave, and was figuring up the tip. The tip wasn't as good as I would have liked it to have been from a couple of the guys. So I left a large tip at the end, extremely big. I joked and said it was a sin I had to pay for other people's mistakes and cheapness. I told a couple of my closest WWE friends that if I posted a tweet rephrasing the situation as "I am exhausted from being punished because of someone else's sins", that the wrestling media would pick that comment up and run with it as something completely different. Low and behold, almost every site did. Not surprising, it's what I suspected. Just another example of how they're looking for any comment they can to translate however into hits for their site and reader views. So take it from me, don't believe everything you read-fact is rarely separated from fiction when it comes to any branch of the "media entertainment market."
