JR Speaks on Barker/Raw, Batista's Return and Breaking Point


Jim Ross has updated his blog over at JRsBarBQ.com. Below are some highlights:

"I enjoyed Raw. Bob Barker, in his 80’s, did a stellar job hosting Raw. A true pro in a unique environment came thru. Bob proved AARP members can still get the job done. Great work by WWE HOF’er Howard Finkel, too. Johnny Olson & Rod Roddy have nothing on the Fink who was cast perfect in his role Monday night. Great to hear Fink’s voice on TV."

"What “Breaking Point” bout will be the show stealer? Beats me as I write this. The Price is Raw concept was clever but did it overshadow the selling of what is likely to be one of the more unique PPV’s of ‘09? Has any got any info on whether the Undertaker has ever submitted in his WWE tenure? I can’t recall it. The Anaconda Vice vs the Devil’s Gate seems to be the story in the ‘Taker-Punk title tilt. Yes, I’m familiar with the “Vice.” Anxious to know the rules of the Kane-Khali Singapore Cane match. Cane on a pole, perhaps? I’m just saying..or asking."

“Jericho vs. MVP [on Raw] was an excellent outing. Hopefully, their bout will add more interest to Sunday’s PPV. Jericho is truly gifted. Y2J’s interaction w/ Bob Barker was damn good stuff.”

"Will Batista announce his retirement Monday in Toronto? I hope not…I think not…but he could. Big Dave has had to battle thru numerous injuries. When is enough..enough?"

Another Former WWE Star Free to Sign, Angelina Love Update

Eddie Fatu, known in WWE as Umaga, is now free to sign with any wrestling promotion he chooses as his 90 day no-compete clause with WWE has expired.

Angelina Love has noted the following on her MySpace page: "I dare a "reporter" to have the correct info! unbelieveable!" Love is apparently upset over internet reports falsifying the details of her recent TNA release.

Report: Details Behind The Punk/Taker Breaking Point Plans


The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the original WWE creative plans called for The Undertaker to defeat CM Punk this Sunday at Breaking Point and win the World Heavyweight Championship. It should be noted that these were the original plans for the event as of a few weeks ago and as always in WWE things could definitely change by the time the PPV rolls around.

WWE Cancels Survivor Series?, Wardrobe Malfunction on ECW


Several readers have sent in word that WWE.com is now listing November's Survivor Series PPV as "Tables, Ladders and Chairs" and has Armageddon once again listed as the December PPV.

During last night's ECW taping, local jobber Rory Fargo suffered a wardrobe malfunction during a match when Zack Ryder set him up on the top turnbuckle for his finisher. Ryder inadvertently pulled down the trunks of Fargo exposing his genitals. WWE was able to edit out the slip before ECW aired at 10pm.

Shelly MartinezFormer WWE Diva and TNA Knockout, Shelly Martinez, is hosting a new web video series entitled "The Weed Chronicles" that you can preview HERE. The following is from The Heyman Hustle website:

WWE Moves Date Of The Royal Rumble Pay Per View

WWE is moving the date of next year's Royal Rumble pay per view to prevent competing with either the AFC or NFC Championship game, reports PWInsider.com. The 2010 Royal Rumble is now scheduled for January 31st, 2010 rather than January 24th. Tickets have been on sale for quite some time and original tickets purchased will still be honored.

World Champion CM Punk Reportedly ****** Former WWE Diva

World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, is currently ****** former WWE Diva, Lita, reports the UK Sun. WrestleZone.com posted pictures of the two arriving to an event together and sources close to the couple announced to the Sun that they have been ****** for nearly a year now. CM Punk apparently told Edge and Matt Hardy face to face as well, although Punk and Lita have kept the relationship quite personal and quiet. To read the rest of the story, click HERE.

WrestleReunion Lawsuit Over; Court Doesn't Rule For Them

As an update to what I reported earlier, PWInsider.com reports that the jury returned this afternoon and ruled against Sal Corrente's WrestleReunion and in the favor of Live Nation. The breach of contract lawsuit lasted eight days and I believe Jimmy Hart and former WZ writer, Bill Behrens, testified as expert witnesses for WrestleReunion, LLC. Eric Bischoff was scheduled to be a witness as well, but ended up not being called.

WZ.com Exclusive: WrestleReunion Responds To Eric Bischoff

Ryan Rodems, the lawyer representing Sal Corrente and WrestleReunion, LLC in the recent breach of contract lawsuit against Clear Channel/Live Nation, sent the following statement into WrestleZone.com as a response to Eric Bischoff's comments:
"It is odd that Eric Bischoff, whose well-documented incompetence caused the demise of WCW, should have any comment on the outcome of the WrestleReunion, LLC lawsuit. The expert report Bischoff submitted in this case bordered on illiteracy, and Bischoff was not even called to testify by Clear Channel/Live Nation because Bischoff perjured himself in a deposition in late-July 2009 before running out and refusing to answer any more questions regarding his serious problems with alcohol and sexual deviancy at the Gold Club while the head of WCW. To even sit in the room and question him was one of the most distasteful things I've ever had to do in 17 years of practicing law. In fact, we understand that Bischoff was afraid to even come to Tampa and testify because he would have to answer questions under oath for a third time about his embarrassing past.

The sad state of professional wrestling today is directly attributable to this snake oil salesman, whose previous career highlights include selling meat out of the back of a truck, before he filed bankruptcy and had his car repossessed. Today, after running WCW into the ground, Bischoff peddles schlock like "Girls Gone Wild" and reality shows featuring B-listers.

Sal Corrente, on the other hand, has always been an honorable man, and he delivered on every promise and paid every wrestler while staging the three WrestleReunion events. Unlike the cowardly Bischoff, Mr. Corrente took the stand in this case. Although his company did not prevail, Sal Corrente proved that he was man enough to fight to the finish -- something Bischoff could never understand."

Mickie James Pops Breast Implant, Plus Kelly Kelly Injured

Mickie James was apparently pulled from this weekend's house shows to have surgery done on her breast implants. Rumors have been circulating that she popped one of them during a match on Raw and PWInsider.com is reporting that is in fact true.

Additionally, Kelly Kelly is reportedly working with an injured right knee. She was wearing a knee brace this past week on Raw as a result. She's had an MRI done, but no word yet on the results.

Potential Opponent For Hulk Hogan On His Australian Tour?


Ric Flair is the name being thrown around as the potential opponent for Hulk Hogan during his "Hulkamania - Let The Battle Begin" tour in Australia this year, reports PWInsider.com.

Flair is reportedly in discussions with the promoters to work the Australian tour set for four dates in November. If Flair does work the tour, it would be his first official match since WrestleMania 24.

This is just speculation as of now, but we will keep you updated as we get more information.

BREAKING: Jeff Hardy Arrested For Pills & Anabolic Steroids

Jeff Hardy has been arrested for possession of anabolic steroids and a number of pills, reports ThePilot.com, a local newspaper from Moore County where Jeff Hardy is located.

The following is from the article:

"Hardy, 32, of 265 Boys Camp Road, Cameron, was arrested after a search of his residence yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia..."

He's currently in Moore County jail with bail set at $125,000. Hardy was charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
