Feedhunting with Dreambox and Manually Moved Dish (Newbie Needs Help!)

hello everybody :)

i am new in all this and i need little help :(

i buy dreambox 600pvr and I want to watch some feeds :)

i live in croatia and i have cca 90cm dish, without motor...

i know how to type frequency in dreambox, and i try find some feeds on 10.0E (soccer), my signal was on feed transporder 64% - and i can not find any feed ?

do i need bigger dish ? how big ? 1,25m will be ok ? or i just need point my dish better (but i think its ok now) ? and i am confused about satellite Telecom 3.0east ( i found feeds on http://www.satelliweb.com/ ), how to locate this satelite ?

i hope anyone can help me, or tell me where to find some tutorials, thank you sooooooo much :)

If you look at the info (notes) posted with feeds at Satelliweb you would have seen (that quite often) when Telecom 3E is posted its actually Astra @ 2E, because they do not have 2E in there database, there are many feeds you will not get, not just because of the posibility of dish not big enough as you suggest. Some feeds are encrypted.....some feeds are SD, some HD, & some are 4:2:2 HD.....also some satellite feeds are on satellites in inclined orbit so if your motor only tracks the East / West horizon then the more inclined the Satellite is the less chance you will get anything.

In short keep trying - but Telecom 3E at Satelliweb is usually Astra @ 2E and if your looking at the feed archives (as I cant see a 3E/2E post there thats active atm) dont expect to find many still active with transmission.

The Spannish lower division feeds at 11540 30W?

1D%20Europa.jpg

90cm would be ok for UK, and ok they are low symnol rate transmissions, but come in ok here (UK) on my 1.2m dish. You should see something in Croatia I would have thought looking at Lyngsat/Hispasat footprint.

I would try a few FTA TV transmissions on 30W to test the alignment of your hand moved dish:

I don't know (I don't own a Dreambox) but hopfully its just because Sat Positions are stored seperatly and when you change Sat the Dreambox thinks its moving a dish (ie DiSEqC on), so list will change depending which Sat you tell the Dreambox it is looking at.
