Two Teams Missing the Survivor Series, WWE TV News for UK Fans, Mickie & Hardy


- Matt Hardy and Mickie James appeared on Good Day NY yesterday, talking about their careers and injuries. The segment ended with the anchor telling them to have a "great season."

- WWE Superstars will begin airing in the UK on December 11th of this year at 5PM on Sky. On a related note, WWE's Tribute to the Troops special will air at 2AM on December 20th in the UK.

- While it was previously mentioned that Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty were wrestling a dark match at tomorrow's Survivor Series pay-per-view, F4Wonline.com reports that the two teams have been given the weekend off.

Why Is CM Punk Feuding with R-Truth on SmackDown?, WWE Live Event in Texas


- Devin sent the following: WWE returns to the coliseum at the Heart O' Texas Fair Complex in Waco, Texas on February 6th, 2010. Tickets go on sale December 12th, 2009 at 10 AM.

- As seen lately on SmackDown, CM Punk has taken a less prominent role since losing the World Heavyweight Title to The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell. While some may see it as Punk being buried or demoted, WWE is actually looking to have him assist R-Truth by putting him over in hope that he reaches the main event level.

- The following matches are advertised for WWE's SmackDown/ECW live event on January 24th in Cleveland, Ohio: Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho for the World Title, Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk and John Morrison vs. Finlay for the Intercontinental Title.

- WWE has booked a bunch of "little people" for the November 30th RAW taping in Baltimore, Maryland where actor Verne Troyer of Austin Powers fame will be the celebrity host.

Latest on Edge's Return, Cena vs. Orton Matches Change, Bonaduce Works WWE Angle

- Danny Bonaduce, who has worked with TNA this past year, did an angle on his radio show to promote the WWE TV tapings in Philadelphia last week. Tommy Dreamer came on to plug the shows and ended up breaking a guitar over Bonaduce's head.

- The John Cena vs. Randy Orton RAW live event matches that were scheduled for December have been changed to Cena vs. Big Show.

- The latest on Edge is that people within WWE feel it's a touch-and-go situation if he will be back in time for WrestleMania and they are going under the assumption that it's less than 50% right now.

WWE Pays for an ECW Original's Rehab, Update on a New WWE Announcer, JR's Return

- Jerry Lawler told the UK's Sun paper that it's possible Jim Ross could be returning for WrestleMania.

- Among those interviewed for the new WWE announcer position last week were Sean Mooney and former XPW announcer Kris Kloss. Someone from the group was hired but it's unknown when they will debut on TV. Word going around is that Mooney was hired but that's not confirmed.

- Former ECW star Axl Rotten has entered a rehab program that WWE is paying for. WWE had Rotten signed to a contract in 2006.

Brock Lesnar's Trainer Says He'll Fight Again Within 6 Months

Brock Lesnar's longtime friend and Jiu-Jitsu coach tells TMZ.com that the UFC Heavyweight champ WILL return to the Octagon -- within 6 months.

Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros, a 7-time World Jiu-Jitsu champion, told TMZ that Lesnar "is getting better and that is the most important thing ... He will be fine and be fighting again within 6 months."

Medeiros added, "I can just say that the heavyweights can stop laughing and get ready to start crying because the champion will be back soon."

Lesnar had surgery earlier this week to repair a hole in his intestine. While Lesnar is still in rough shape and has a long road ahead of him, the outlook has improved dramatically from last week when Dana White was saying that Lesnar is "very very sick" and may never fight again.

Which WWE Brand Will Paul & Katie Lea Burchill End Up On?, Sheamus News

- Sheamus will be doing a live chat on WWE's website this Sunday before the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

- Evan Bourne vs. Paul Burchill is advertised for the RAW live event in Charlottesville, Virginia on November 29th. It looks like Paul and Katie Lea are headed to the RAW brand after leaving ECW this past week.

Update on a RAW Return, WWE PPV Prices in the UK, ECW's Cheesesteak Segment

- WWE will not be increasing pay-per-view prices in the UK as they are here in the States. WWE's contract with Sky Sports expires soon but it doesn't look like either side will be changing anything in their two decade relationship.

- Maryse has been in Tampa working out for her return and is scheduled to return on one of the next two episodes of RAW.

- As noted before, a segment was filmed for ECW this week that saw Tommy Dreamer, Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu get a cheesesteak from Tony Luke's in Philadelphia but it didn't air on TV. It's interesting to note that controversial RF Video owner Rob Feinstein was in the video. The segment didn't air because the matches went long and they wanted to air the MSG video package again.

- Steve Austin, Vinnie Jones and Robert Patrick, who were all involved with WWE movie projects, will be making feature appearances in the third season of NBC's Chuck.

- As noted before, WWE has former developmental star Mikey Batts to work as a referee. His hiring came at the recommendation of FCW trainer Billy Kidman. WWE was looking for a smaller referee who knows how to bump and Batts is barely 5 feet tall. He has little experience as a referee but was practicing this past weekend at some indy shows in the northeast.

- Hulk Hogan got engaged to be married to his girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel before leaving to Australia for the Hulkamania tour.

- Konnan has announced that he's writing an autobiography. Former TNA writer Dutch Mantel is also writing a book about his experiences in pro wrestling.

- Eric Bischoff was visiting the TNA offices in Nashville last week.

- TNA recently dropped former WWE star Trevor Murdoch, who was using the name Jethro Holliday. He was working on a per-event basis with TNA and is now running a bar in Eldon, MO called "T. Murdoch's Bar & Grill."

Plans for WWE SmackDown!, Scary Brock rumor at RAW, Danielson

-- Though specifics on plans for his television debut are not yet known, independent standout Bryan Danielson has indeed signed his WWE contract and is on the company's payroll.

-- The MSN TV preview for SmackDown: "A historic reunion as the "Brothers of Destruction,'' Kane & The Undertaker, return to action together vs. the unified Tag Team Champions."

-- Prior to news on Brock Lesnar's intestinal issue breaking, there was a scary rumor at Monday's RAW that the UFC Champion had died from a blood clot. The rumor thankfully proved untrue, but it reportedly had some steam for a brief, disturbing moment at the Madison Square Garden event.

TNA Star Injured, Former WWE Star at TNA, Foley on Comedy Central, Nash Tweets

- Former WWE Superstar Robbie McAlister of The Highlanders was backstage at the TNA tapings earlier this week.

- Kevin Nash wrote the following on Twitter early yesterday: "not bad. it only took me 1 hour to get out of bed. usual suspects neck and right knee are killing me. todays mystery pain is right hip."

- Mick Foley, wearing a TNA t-shirt, appeared on The Daily Show on Comedy Central last night in a comedy segment. The episode will be replaying several times over the next day.

- TNA star Chris Sabin "tweaked" his neck again at the iMPACT tapings this past week, according to a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla press release. TNA sources say Sabin will be taking a few weeks off in order to let the injury heal.

WWE SmackDown! Superstar suspended from outside endeavor

DNA India reports that Dalip "The Great Khali" Singh Rana has been suspended from his role with the Punjab Police.

According to Arunpal Singh, Commandant of 7th Batallion of Punjab Armed Police, Khali was granted leave until December of last year, during which he participated in pro wrestling and acting endeavors.

He applied for an additional five years off, but he was not granted such an "extraordinary circumstances" leave of absence and was thus required to report back to duty. He did not, so the suspension resulted.

"As per the rule, Dalip Singh Rana (Khali) was not entitled to any further leave and there was no option other than to suspend him", said Arunpal Singh.

- This week's edition of ECW on SyFy scored a 1.1 cable rating.

- The November 6th edition of Friday Night SmackDown scored a 2.0 rating.

- WWE has hired Minnesota bakery The Gingerbread House to create a wrestling ring and wrestlers made out of gingerbread to use in the company's annual Christmas card. FedEx couldn't insure the work so the bakery owner and his wife drove it to WWE headquarters in Stamford this week.
