I have done that and it’s empty and it doesn’t even seem that from there. I can’t even send messages .

Once you reach 50 posts you can send private messages.

This was put in place as the Admin team were made aware new members were using the PM system to sell Mars and Forever subs to members.

But to be fair to the admin here they have explained that people were abusing the private message system by selling products behind the scenes.

That's one way of stopping, but to not every member can have the right to attach a pic or file has nothing to do with private messaging. as the song say a picture can replace 1000 words..

I would guess that sat-uni is so big that to give everyone the right to upload photos etc would cost a small fortune in server costs. Do you not have the right to upload pictures? if not contact admin.

I understand the cost of maintaining the site is a big factor. So, a lot of us are uploading files &/or pics to other uploading servers witch can also be use to sell products, keys or illegal subscriptions. But it is what it is....No biggy for me.

Surely if its all legit, info can be posted on the forum?
This site is pretty lax regarding posting of info, just nothing allowed that the forum sponsor sells or links to other forums or resellers etc.

Members with any status can upload here. Threads will be moved to appropriate section.

Anyone can upload attachments there and then link to that attachment on the thread your trying to help members on. You been a member since 2012 and have missed this ?

If you upload enough to the public upload and your files are good no viruses etc we would then grant upload permissions forum wide.

Problem is that files will not last long while the thread in SU hopefully will survive.

Here now the question? Will you guys get tire of my files if I start using Public Sat Upload? Do you see my point?

Once we have checked your files are good no virus, links to other sites hidden in files and the type of file we want on SU you would be granted permissions to upload anywhere.

When I reply to a posting in a different menu (eg keys), I can not upload (attach) a file or pic. Doesn't make sense to upload the attachment in a different menu unrelated (public-sat-upload) to the subject of the posting.... In the other hand only few (!) can attach/upload a file/pic, right where the reply is made...

Same thing we can not allow everybody file attachments you earn that by posting good files in the public upload.

In your case use an external source for photos and link.

How can you evaluate if i'm posting good files as long as I was never allowed to post any files ????
I know about outside source for uploading files !!!!
So, my conclusion (and others who complained about this issue) is there is a discriminatory decision of who has the right to attach/post files here & who can not.

The decision of who Is allowed to upload or not upload is at the descression of the forum leaders. It's not discrimination as everyone starts out as not being able to upload and you earn the right to be able to upload as you progress on your journey through the forum.
