Hello!

Is there any problem with the "QVIART DUAL 1.09.bin" launched here today, and then suddenly removed? I have already downloaded it through the mega link, but now I'm apprehensive if its safe to give it a try.

I was looking forward for an update... :rolleyes:

Insert a USB drive, MENU, Backup & Load, and choose Backup to Usb. To upload, the same process, but selecting Load from USB

The firmware existing on foroKeys forum but it seems there some confusion about it lets wait and see.

Yes, I asked over there as well. I also downloaded the 1.0.9 from the first link (off now, but there's a re-uploaded link now) and I will test it when I manage to find some free time.
They told there is no big difference, but no one said anything about the server version, if 145 finally.

Lets try it... I'm attaching an image from there bellow, its not mine.

Server is 1.45 on 1.09

Seems 1.09 has more bugs than 1.07 though

I would not install 1.09 its rubbish you have been warned. Not fit for release in my opinion.

Stick with 1.07 until Qivart actually start to fix issues people who test the beta firmwares report to them.

Of course if you must install 1.09 report all its issues here maybe Qivart will take noticed.

My Dual is back in its box im done with it.

Anyone considering the Dual don't, buy a Sat 4K and a Octagon sf8008 2 boxes yes but both work as they should.

I installed FW 1.09, and formatted after installation. I don't notice any particular bugs and I don't even notice any fixes to already known bugs. Only the PT server has been updated

Its just a server update that has introduced new bugs, know bugs dont get sorted and if they get 1 bug sorted 6 bugs get introduced, this 1.09 should not off been released.

Old bugs that where reported April 2023

Database does not carry all TP's so it misses channels scanning, blind scan will lock your tuner try scan for example 4.9 east on 1.09.

None existent PVR is not good on any Satellite Box and its been that way since first release.

Box locks scanning a lot of sat position and its been that way since 1.04.

Will not record Icam Stream relay channel from the timer.

EPG Pro now and Next only. Rename EPG Basic

People would be better off buying sat 4k.

And that is the tip of the iceberg

This really is an experimental box that is not going forwards.

Updated to the latest 1.09 and problem solved

But does that give you the 2nd part of the serial number?? It was available on an early versions of software but the only way i have seen recently was by installing the ps4 launcher. The launcher did not work very well for me but it did shown the id with the 2nd part showing. Not worth doing unless you really need it.

Yes loading 1.09 shows the 2nd part of the serial number that you need for metamango but as already mentioned this firmware release isn't in any way an improvement on 1.07 so I've reverted mine back to1.07
