I extensively test images on my qviart everyday loading different e2 images most days. I have no had real issues with software 1.07 at all. Strange you and others are having lots of issues.

Ive no bootloop issues with my dual.

Here is what id do if i had your issue.

Use a recovery image and flash slot 1 of the E2 side.
Now Flash 5.00 on the android side
Factory reset
Flash Special Firmware
Factory reset
Flash 1.07
Factory Reset
Now set up your box on Android.

Well you have to start somewhere to recover your box. May I ask who are these many user who have a problem with dual that you mention? There is only yourself on this forum with the issue. Is there maybe something that yourself and these other users are doing to the box to cause an issue. Maybe like installing some type old software etc? It's just a question try and help resolve the issue.

No but you are cleaning up any partition errors on the flash of your box.
Thanks to your reply for this reson its strongly recommented to have external multinoot lile neoboot so we can test the image before loading it on the internal one . if there is a problem the damage will be on the external flash.

I would set up a base image on slot one like open atv 7.2 or 7.3 and not touch it after that, then put any other images you want to try in slot 2-4. I have seen many images with different problems from non working remotes to black screens on booting. You can always boot back to slot 1 by turning the receiver off and when it turns on keep pressing 111111111 on the remote and it will boot back into slot 1.

I have found that if you find a black screen in many cases the default video setting is 4k. I run my box through a 1080p hdmi switch. If this happens i use the webif remote on the laptop to change the setting to 1080p. (y)
If the remote does not work use the web if remote to quit the image and boot back to another slot then reflash a different image.

Good morning
To install restore image what is the best safe way :
1- flash on line through image on slot two
2- pressing the front power switch and chose E2 update
3- pressing OK until you get recovery menu and chose slot one

To use a recovery image which is what you need you can not flash online. Recovery MMC

Download a recovery image and unrar the Dual folder to the root of the USB stick.
Press the front power switch and choose E2 update and then wait it can take upto 20 mins it should eventually reboot.

I maybe possible to do the same with the recovery menu ive just never dont it that way.

From proven experience, I tell you that if you switch from any E2 image to ATV in recovery mode, Android will also be corrupted.
You will then have to format the Android part again as it will not boot

But then flashing the Android side after E2 recovery will probably fix the boot loop.

I have no boot loop and the forum would know if i did.

I think there is a kind of partition overlap between slot 1 and android partition for the following reasons:
First after I load database tv channels on android the color of the image on slot one changed to pink.
Second after I loaded on slot one a new image without touching it like our friend kegnkiwi did I could load the firmware on android .
until now no boot loop.

thanks & BR

So from reading this do we assume things are now working fine now?
