reboot box and then go into the softcam menu on the receiver. Toggle left of right to select the correct version you want of the softcam and start it. I think with vix there is something about auto-starting on boot up. You might have to put server details into the oscam.server file again, there agian you may not.

Press the BLUE BUTTON, next choose Softcam Manager

Choose OSCAM

Presse BLUE BUTTON to enable startup of OSCAM if receiver reboot

After press GREEN BUTTON to start OSCAM

Please wait while starting OSCAM

reboot

don't forget to enter your server details in oscam.server file

Thanks, folks.
Yeah I don't think the new OSCAM file has been installed properly as I don't see a third additional OSCAM available (more info below)

When I go into soft cam manager I see two OSCAM options (which I did yesterday) also. OSCAM-emu and OSCAM-latest. I believe latest was ticked yesterday and channels were clearing. When I tried to stop that today and restart, channels haven't come back since.

When I hit the green button on either, (which was the same error) yesterday it says no config files found please setup OSCAM first / var tuxbox etc (this was the same as yesterday) though channels were clearing. Gut feel is the OSCAM version is wrong and the latest IPK hasn't installed properly ill try the usb method of getting it on the box

I think the IPK file I attempted to install potentially has messed up the OSCAM install that was there, as there is no scam file in /usr/bin which makes me feel something went wrong with the install.
OSCAM files are now dumped at root (scam.ccache oscam.conf oscam.server) and I don't believe there is a tuxbox folder now either.

I think sometimes the config files hide, try /var then scroll to the and not a folder but directory /var/tuxbox click on it may then come up blank but use the up arrow selector to move one directory up and the config file may just appear. (y)

Update - Tinkering all afternoon, but decided to remove both OSCAM plugins that were installed on the box via VIX image. Will now reload the IPK given above and hopefully that should help nail down what the problem could be

hi folks - I'm struggling with getting OSCAM successfully loaded onto a gigablue box.
Box is working with a motorised dish - all good, getting signal across the ARC.
When I login to the web interface, I don't see anything relating to OSCAM even though it is installed and appears to be working on the tv, I can't see any files or any options for OSCAM on the web interface.

I've deleted OSCAM from the box now but will reload it and look at the settings you've provided above thanks to everyone for their help - gained a few grey hairs !!

Thanks for everyone's help.... major shoutout to @kegnkiwi who's had to put up with all my stupid questions haha.
So... good news we've managed to get OSCAM installed, working and channels clearing (including oscam now showing as an option to click in the web UI).... but for the love of me we just can't get the webIF loading when we click it - the ports seem to align (8888) on both the config and where the web UI is trying to point to.

It's a pain in the ass that it doesn't work as I assume its a clean way showing if everything is connecting etc!

it happens to me too....but if you restart the decoder and stay on the web page you'll see that it works...it seems like it's a delay that the soft has...???
