CCCAM upate for TM600

Hi,

I am new to the Sat world and especially Linux box.

I have a motoriesd sat with Techno mate TM600. I currently have CCCAM 2.1.1 and i have noticed that there's a new one avaiable CCCAM, to be honest i dont know what the CCCAM would do but i am hoping to get more channels available and opened.

I would like to know the following:
1- the CCCAM is now on a USB stick and my receiver is able to read it it, if i to install this, would i lose all fav channels and current setting?
2- if so, how can i create back.

Please note i dont currently have any ethernet connection available to connect the receiver to the net.

Could someone also direct me to where i would be able to open the ART channels via the net eventually if possible?

Hi mate

CCcam is just a EMu it will not over write you channel list.

The new CCcam will give you nothing more.

What you need to install and run is Mgcamd 1.35 this will clear ART JSC and a few more.

You don't say what image you are running! But if your running the UR image look at this thread it contains instruction to install mgcamd.

Looking through my receiver I can see Mgcams1.31 but it appeare with the softcams list.

Any idea how can I get the one you mentioned?

Finally what is the UR image and if install it, would it delete my fav lists.

If you read the thread i linked to that shows you how to manually install Mgcamd 1.35.

The UR image is a image created by the UR team.

I suspect you already have a team image on as your using EMU's

Reboot your TM and watch the splash screen it will tell you what image you have installed.

Thanks Mate,

I have had a look at the other thread, i assume you have to use LAN to do the install correct? would it work via USB? I am not sure if i did it right, i have tried putting the file in the other thread on a USB but i wasnt able to see it when i cliked on install via USB. there were 3 files but none of them referred to to UR 1-35

By the way when i rebooted i did see the UR image team but i couldn't see which version it is.

Looking at the UR image 1-35 it seems its been there since last year, i would of thought thats what i have since i only got the box 2 days ago, having said that neither ART or Aljazeera channels are working.

Your input is appreciated.

No mate needs to be done by FTP

It may be a good idea to update your image before you do any of this.

Use this version its stable.

Thanks again, but what will this image do? sorry i am new to all this.

by the way the three files i can see are
cm-recovery-1.4.img
recovery-backup.img
recovery-RA-HERO-v1.2.3.img

i think the Box put them in when i plugged in the USB is this possible?

I have messed it up big time, i have installed the Image you mentioned in above and i now lost everything !! i dont know how to get all the channels back, or if possible to do recover.

A new image wipes every thing that is expected.

Rescan the sats then get it working with your motor and ill help you to setup Mgcamd.

Thats what i am stuck on, cant get the channels to work and i am confused to how i can configure the motor at this stage. i spent long hours last night trying to figure it out.

whenever i scan a sat, i dont get strong signal, i have only managed to see some of 13w hotbird, not even all of them.

dont know what to do anymore.

Is your motor a usuals motor?

If so goto on your remote.

Menu-setup-service searching-motor setup.

Tick gotox & enter your coordinates there.

Also read this guide from point 5 it will tell you what you should of done to setup the image after you flash it.

If you didn't do this re flash and follow it from point 5. I know the guide is for the Dreambox but it is the same procedure from point 5.

How do i know my Longitude and latitude please?

Use google

Type whats my coordinates and then go to a site that allows you to enter you postcode to retrieve your usuals coordinates.

I think i am making progress, my longitude is -2.56 but i dont know how to put the - singe. I have pressed every single button with no luck.

Im informed Mgcamd 1.35 is now available to download to your receiver any chance you can put the TM on the INTERNET?

If not we can do it manually! But will be tricky as you need to re-download 1.31 also.

the only way that i can connect the receiver to the net is by connecting through my laptop is this possible?

i have mobile broadband at the moment, so if i can connect my laptop to the receiver via ethernet would this work?

Hard to setup mate and too many variables to it not working with a cross over cable.

We can do this manually but you may have to wait while i get home this evening to get access to the files i need you to use.

I think i am gonna wait untill i get the net next week. in the same time could i ask you, for future references if i to update the image, how can i store all the sats settings?

you know the receiver is still scanning through all the sats.
