That´s not o.k., of course, if you only get 15 MB image saved with dflash.
Maybe prob with a too big image on your box (lots of plugins) or maybe different.
I don´t use dflash any more since I use Merlin and I only install plugins, that I can´t avoid - like MultiRC. Only "luxury" is ValiFlex Skin. Therfore it´s easy to flash new image and set up my dreambox from scratch again (max. 1 hour and all is done - I only restore saved bouquets.)
Don´t know where to find, but there´s an option in dflash "Enigma2 Restart". Try this before saving your image. May help.
If not, you may discuss dflash problem with dflash developer "Gutemine". He left the board for discussion on GP3, but is still available on other boards - e.g. Merlin board.
I think, he´s discussing on OoZooN board, too, but I can´t get member to ALL boards.

The dflash issue is not a important question.
Like you said it's easy to restore settings or even install a clean image. Do you know it's also easy to setting up my motor satellite with non usuals? Just need to follow always the same sequence of numbers=satellite.
Because i don't like B.A. i use dflash to make a total backup/restore.
So i can play with diferent images, plugins, or skins and if i don't like, i have always the dflash backup to restore.
About Gutemine i use to write on Oozoon forum, and i don't care too much about this matter because i know for ex. if 8.15 isn't good 8.13 or 8.11 is O.K.
Eventually, next 8.16 will be ok also, so i don't care too much.
About memory size i use FlashExpander from mechatron (Ihad forum)and it's a fantastic plugin.

That´s the reason why you probably only get your small 15 MB image with dflash.
The problem is:
FE mounts its device on top of existing /usr

I'm aware of that problem, (dflash-FE) but in some versions dflash works well and in others don't.
But as i wrote before no big problem.
About the motor and non ususals settings, what can i say? Well in my case, i repeat in my case, i only have to repeat the same position for same satellite. I mean in position 1 is always Hispasat, in position 2 is hotbird, in 3 is Astra 19º, in 4th is astra 2. And it works well.
I think motor has this setting (in memory?) (Not shure)

Can´t find any changelog in git, yet. Hope it will be posted there, soon.
Remark:
Both my 8000 boxes ran completely stable the last weeks. No freezers, no probs with recordings.
Online updated early tonight. ~ 53 files.
Afterwards on box1 had a programmed timer recording this morning that didn´t run to its end. Found my frozen box this morning - no greenscreen, just blue LED on power button+ time on OLED display frozen.
My second box got stuck during playback of a recording - had to restart it with power off/on button on backside. (No access with telnet possible for init sequence.)
Problem may have been (I hope so): Tonight´s online update obviously wasn´t complete. Tried new update one minute ago - 1 file "libpagecache" was installed.
So, if your box is running fine, perhaps better wait with updating it.
Was/am too busy today, but one minute for additional remark:
I was right yesterday - lots of users complained like me, their box was nearly unoperable with latest update.
If you install(ed) image 2013-01-07, make sure to online update your box!

I found the firmware here http://www.dreamboxupdate.com/opendreambox/2.0.0/images/dm8000/ but not the changelog and it is important, because we should know which updates are and what they do.

Yes, your link in post above is the official source for OE2 dm8000 firmwares.
The "Changelog" that you find there, isn´t explaining, what is new, though. The "Changelog" link, if you right mouseclick it, will allow you to download (target save as) the accompanying "nfo"-file for "nfi"-file. This "nfo" you only need if you flash your firmware with USB stick - you then copy firmwareabc.nfi + firmwareabc.nfo onto the stick.
To find out, what´s new, you have to search through
git.opendreambox.org
e.g. in branches opendreambox 2.0, enigma 2 or else
for new entries.

1. Video DB V2 (A kind of xmbc look alike databased alternative for "project valerie" for your movies and tv-series archive. It can be installed parallel to AMS (Advanced Movie Selection) plugin, because it uses a different database (video.db).
AMS is rather for your current recordings e.g. on internal hdd.
Video DB V2 is rather for all your archived media.

(gives additional function to dreambox audio menu: you can e.g. set the plugin that when trying different audio languages/channels, you stay inside the audio menu (without plugin the menu usually closes) so that you don´t always have to reopen it. The plugin also allows your box to remember which language you last chose on what tv channel, etc. + more functions)

3. Auto Swap
Using swapfile on OE2.0 can sometimes cause trouble (e.g. during recording - video may stutter). In other cases (streaming, network, NAS etc.) you may profit from swapfile and may want one.
(If you don´t know when to use swapfile, and if your box satisfies you in all cases that you use it for, then better don´t try this plugin unnecessarily. Same should count for those who don´t know, how to create a swapfile on their own.).
This plugin does NOT create a swapfile by itself, but it enables or disables a swapfile that YOU created yourself. So it e.g. switches off your swapfile during recordings and afterwards switches it on again.
Some users on Merlin board discussing the plugin with developer Gutemine are not yet satisfied with it while others already are. So this plugin is only meant for those who really need to improve performance of their dreambox in some cases.

Shame on me, but for the same reason I didn´t post on these topics earlier. I always hesitated because it would be a lot of work to translate all the text.
Another reason was:
I can´t give support or help, because I don´t use these plugins:
(My archive: is on burnt DVD/BD-R discs not stored on harddrives - so I´ve got no need for plugin #1)
(My audio language is always the same on all channels, I rarely use the audio menu - so no need for plugin #2)
(I don´t do but record on internal hdd and play back - therfore no use for plugin #3)
But I think these plugins maybe very interesting for some of you (I Hope).
