I ban you for inviting yourself
invite you to ban yourself, a911.
You´ll probably be very disappointed with what you´ll find, if you come to see me in europe ... , but I won´t stop you from visiting.
With a pre-warning time of some months, I should be able to fix the chaos in my 3 room appartement, clean the rooms or at least wash the curtains and get supplied with all things necessary.
We may have pork, porn videos, whiskey and other stuff that the rotten western society has to offer

I was only joking, of course
and rather worrying more about what a poor host I certainly would be.
(This was my main thought, when I posted - with me being ill and having so ridiculously few to offer to a dear guest after a long travel. It makes me a little bit afraid, to presumably become a disappointment.:mecry:)
What would be very pleasing to you in geramny today, of course is, that Berlin (I got it from the news) has become a Mekka for jazz musiscians. Clubs all over the city are having jazz performances regularly.
In my provincial area there is nothing special - maybe 70 km away in the bigger cities (Nuremberg, Regensburg - both with many historical buildings) - haven´t been there for years, though.
Yes, I ban myself, too and remember the good old days as well (when I was always on the road every free moment and never stayed at home ...)

Don´t worry be happy ...
We were happier at those times - but only, because we didn´t know. Now we know 10% and we worry ...
Best wishes for you, too. God bless you!
I would already be much happier though, if I could dance appropriately wild enough to a song like this
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qLsODmfk6w"]Inas Nacht: Gossip - Heavy Cross - YouTube[/ame]
but that would break my bones.
(The recording is from a german tv broadcast series, that I like. The blonde singer woman accompanying Beth Ditto from Gossip, Ina Müller, is presenter of this talk-/music- show. The location always is the same beer pub in Hamburg.)
"Heavy cross" (, the title of the song above,)
in my language translated word by word means "schweres Kreuz"
and this could as well in my language have a meaning like "sour back" ...
