TNA Changing TV Taping Schedule, New Spin Cycle Online

Following their Hard Justice PPV, TNA is going to back to their original schedule of taping Impact broadcasts by having a taping on Monday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 18th, then returning to the Impact Zone two weeks later to tape 2 more broadcasts on August 31st and September 1st. For the past several months, TNA has been taping 4 episodes of Impact over the course of three days. This was done in order to cut costs, however it appears as if the company is doing away with that format.

Ricky Gervais To Host Raw?, Shaq Returning To WWE/Raw

For what it's worth, during a recent interview with Channel 5 in The UK, Kane hinted that British comedian Ricky Gervais might be a possible guest host of Raw in the future.

PWInsider.com is reporting that the word going around backstage in WWE is that Shaquille O'Neal will be returning to WWE, more specifically Raw, in the near future as both he and WWE officials were very pleased with his guest hosting of the show a couple weeks ago. The current plan would see Shaq make some kind of one time appearance on the show like he did when he hosted.

Just finished up a highly productive day in New York City, including business and pleasure. Extremely excited about the future. Everyday i get busier and have more responsibility on my shoulders, but it doesn't bother me one bit-it actually motivates me to work harder and be a better person 360 degrees. The "business" aspect likely involves an outside TV project that will also feature his brother Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore, much like their independently produced and distributed THE HARDY SHOW.

Final Rating For the 8/6 Impact & Superstars Broadcasts

This past Thursday night's edition of TNA Impact drew a final 1.2 cable rating which is down from last week's 1.3 draw.

OVW To Stream TV Free Online, Impact 2 Video Game Update

OVWrestling.com is reporting that their weekly TV shows will be streamed live on their website for free beginning today, August 8th. You can access the stream on the results section of the OVW website.

Gamasutra.com is reporting that THQ has bought out the San Diego Midway Games studio. Because TNA's license and Unreal Engine Tech are not part of the terms of the sale, it will be necessary for a new deal to be struck before production can begin on a new TNA Impact game. It therefore appears at this point that production on the game will not be happening.

Chris Jericho Stars in a New Movie, DX vs The Hart Dynasty?

IMDB.com is listing that Chris Jericho is slated to appear in an upcoming straight to DVD movie entitled "Albino Farm." According to the website, the movie is about "college students exploring the Ozark Mountains for a school assignment, [and they ]stumble upon a group of scary, redneck cave-dwellers." The movie comes out on September 22nd.

SLAM! Wrestling has an interview up with The Hart Dynasty where they tease wrestling DX sometime in the future. Considering the very possible re-uniting of DX on Raw to face Legacy at SummerSlam, the chance of DX vs. The Hart Dynasty seems very possible.

TNA House Show Results from Baton Rouge at the River Center 8-8-09

Pretty much the same results as the previous night's show in Biloxi, MS. Again TNA drew arounf 1000, but in a smaller building that was cut in half, and was maybe 2/3's full

Suicide pinned Shark Boy, and again post match Sharky hit the Chummer on Suicide after he refused to share water

Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed defeated the Beautiful People (Love & Sky)

Homicide retained his X Division title in a three way defeating Daniels and Consequences Creed

Hernandez pinned Eric Young. Young used the mike to get heet prior to the match

Beer Money (Storm & Roode) defeated Sheik Bashir & Kioshi pinning Bashir this time. Beer Money wore LSU Jerseys and got over big as babyfaces in the process

A.J. Styles pinned Samoa Joe after a pele kick with Mick Foley as the outside enforcer

They did the post match spot again with Foley getting Eric Young in the mandible claw with "The Sock" leading to Bashir & Kiyoshi getting involved, but being run off by Foley who then posed for pics in the ring with fans.

"The Perfect 10" Baby Doll(Nickla Roberts) On Her Career

Mike Mooneyham published a nice article on Nickla Roberts, "The Perfect 10" Baby Doll

In the article she discusses how she got the "Baby Doll" name:

“Baby Doll was the name of Tully’s favorite strip club in San Antonio,” Roberts reveals. “Because my first name is Nickla, a lot of people just don’t get that right. A lot of the guys were calling me Baby Doll anyway, so it just kind of fit.”

“It’s so cool because I meet people who tell me I really am a baby doll. That’s such a nice compliment. Who wouldn’t want to be called Baby Doll? It’s great. Especially when (Ric) Flair yells down the hallway: ‘Ba-by Doll!’ How can you not love that? As far as the ‘Perfect 10,’ I’m a big girl. I’m nowhere near what most would consider a perfect 10, but it does get some good heat.”

The name replaced "Andrea The Lady Giant" as her ring Name.

“I hated that because Andre and I were really, really good friends. I felt that it was a dis on Andre. I really didn’t like it. Andrea The Lady Giant wasn’t very feminine or girly,” says Roberts, who wore her hair in a punk rock style, along with leather pants and jacket, metal-studded belts, and spiked dog collar and wristbands.

She discusses getting married to Sam Houson and how it ended her career:

They got mad because we fell in love,” says Roberts. “Dusty even called Griz and wanted him to discourage us from getting married. But we were going to show them. We were going to show them that we were perfect and we could do it. We ended up losing our jobs, so we really showed them, didn’t we?”

“I understand now where they were coming from. They wanted to have the single, Marilyn Monroe type, and Sam was a babyface. Sam was undercard, so how could Baby Doll be attracted to Sam? But he was really starting to get pushed.”

When asked about the angle with Dusty Rhodes and Larry Zbyszko and the sealed envelope that allegedly contained incriminating photographs of Rhodes

“I still have the envelope,” says Roberts, who adds that she might use it for a photo-op with Rhodes at future shows.

Current ROH star Delirious will be in Japan for Pro Wrestling Noah from Oct 15-31, his first Japan appearance for the Noah promotion. Delirious is the current trainer at the ROH wrestling school, where Evan Borne's (Matt Sydal) brother who wrestles as Mike Sydal recently spent some time.

Former TNA star Sonjay Dutt just returned from a tour of Egypt that included D-Lo Brown, Al Snow and former NWA Wildside star Caprice Coleman, who is a minister and has been stationed there for several years. Dutt is scheduled for the ROH TV Tapings on 8/14-15 and for AIW in Cleveland on 8/28, then CWE in Youngstown on 8/29.

- I was driving in my car when on my local radio station they were interviewing Jack Swagger on Colorado Springs 9.61 Da Beat FM. He was on the phone in Denver from where they were hosting the WWE Smackdown/ECW/Raw house show he was commenting on how tickets were to cheap for him appearing in Colorado... and how he was talking about Randy Orton and Legacy and how he is good friends with them, he also mentioned in the interview that he is going to become United States champion at Summerslam. I am not quite sure what this means for Summerslam or if he even will be going againest Kofi Kingston or what. He also was talking about the contest there having tomorrow at the event where a lucky winner will face Kolf Kingston and win a new 52 inch Sony HDTV and PS3 with SDvsRAW 2009.

WWE Star on Fallon This Week, The Rock to Host Raw?

Triple H will be appearing as a guest on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" this Tuesday night.

PWTorch.com is reporting that many within WWE feel that if the company reached out to The Rock to guest host an episode of Raw the actor would most likely turn down the offer. The feeling right now is that although The Rock speaks highly of his time in WWE whenever asked publicly, he is doing his best right now to distance himself from the pro wrestling world as he continues to further his movie career. Additionally, many feel that The Rock is still privately upset with Vince McMahon and WWE for allowing his contract to expire in 2004 without reaching out to him first.

The UK Sun has an article up right now with a headline of "Don't Leave us Lillian!" The article notes that WWE cannot allow Lillian Garcia to walk away from the company as Divas like Torrie Wilson and Trish Stratus have done.

Lashley's Next MMA Opponent, Matt Hardy Ring Return Update

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the rumored opponent for Bobby Lashley's upcoming MMA fight in Denver on October 3rd is Ron Waterman. According to Sherdog.com, Waterman has an overall MMA record of 16-6-2 and is 43 years old. In addition to being an MMA fighter, he was also a pro wrestler for several years wrestling in promotions including WWE, New Japan, and others. We reported a week ago that TNA has no plans to utilize Lashley in the ring until after this bout to prevent him from sustaining any injuries which could prevent him from fighting.

As seen on Smackdown this past Friday night, Matt Hardy did return to TV although it's being reported that he is still about 3-4 weeks away from being able to return to the ring.
