What else do I need to do after - Loading Enigma 2

I have just gone though the link attached all except step 2 has been completed... is there anything else I need to do.
I read I did not need to do Step 2 if I didn't want multiboot. So I did not load the multiboot firmware.

Or am I missing the point of all the hardwork.:confused:
I am not seeing what I though I would see.

I am new to all this. and just got a new Cuberevo HD twin. So any advice would be great.

Hi m8 if you loaded the enigma2 onto Usb Or harddrive then you still need multiboot.
If its the flash version of enigma2 then you dont need it...

Multiboot Version or Flash ver?

I assume the flash version is better than the multiboot one as there is less fuss when you boot up??

What are the main differences between the two.

Would I need to reload everything I have just done??

I put it on my USB stick
No I don't have a serial cable I didn't know people still used them.
I have a usb cable and am connected via ethernet if this helps.

I have FlashTools_v1.0.2 but can't see how to connect to the box there is no connect or flash button.

Switch off your ipbox and turn it back on, holding the power button untill the display says "USB UPGRADE".
Then you can connect from Flashtool via USB.

Ok I started from stratch done all (Loading Enigma 2 using USB stick for Cuberevo/IP Box 9000HD for Newbies***
) and can now see the NLB in Web-If and have extracted the E2 on the memory stick.
But how do I know if the multiboot is working??

I have tried button 1,2,3,0, right arrow, left arrow, up arrow, down arrow and no boot menu??

Any ideas

you wont see a boot menu

i take it you got internall HDD as well as USB stick in.
Therefore....

switch off the box at the back.

Press and hold the number 2 on remote, switch reciever on at the back.

you should see the word multiboot2 in LCD, and power button flashing.

Wait for about 5 mins until either you see the word " wait 3 min.. " in LCD or blue power light stops flashing after a minute.

if it stops flashing and nothing happens wait a further few mins then if still nothing switch the box off at the back then back on.

if after 3 attempts and still not booting to USB stick , then maybe you installed a corrupt E2 image, therefore , re-format the stick and start again with a different downloaded image,
