I downloaed the last VIX 1.3 image yeasterday. And somehow I get glitches or CCcam freezes for a second or two. This happens quite often. I don't know if it is the image or CCcam 2.2.1.
I use my old config file from CCcam 2.14. That should be ok, should'nt it? Anyone else experience this problem?

2.2 & CCcam

Local card is OK with both 2.1.4 and 2.2.1 but Image 2.2 on VU+ Duo
with CCcam.cfg in etc just does not work, I deleted 2.2.1 and installed 2.1.4 = still no joy, my server (yes mine) is working to the other 4 Diablo WiFi cams so the problem is in the VU+ box

I have a local card and using cs. Still lots of "glitches", not freezes today. I wonder if it's the VIX 1.3 image or CCcam 2.2.1 that is the problem..? Or maybe the combination...

Re Vix1.3 and CCcam

Hi mate

Best way to resolve your problem is while its playing up revert back to your old config image and CCcam versions and see if your still having the problem. One other thing I would try before you do that is to power down recivers and pc's and router and restart as it could be your ISP having problems

Thx satman,
I've tried that. Restarted everything, but maybe I shall try to go back to CCcam 2.14.
One more new problem is that I have a few of my regular peers showing up in warnings.txt file. Not so often, a few every hour. It's like CCcam don't accept them. ( I read about this problem at other sites too...)

I have the same problem, i tried vix 1.2, and 1.3. CCcam 2.13,2.14 2.21 and they all glitch every vew mins (or more often). i flashed back to Vti and pli and everything worked fine. It is a shame as i like the vix image. If you bottom it let me know.

Btw

i did all the updates from the vix server.

Hi guys.. Sorry to hear your having problems.. I have had my VIX image running for 3 days now.. and no issues at all..

There are updates being released every day for this image as the VIX team are working tirelessly to fix all the little niggly things..

Stick with it guys.. you wont be sorry..

Go to :

Menu > Set Up > Software Management > Software Update > Yes

then when the updates are finshed.. just reboot your box and all should be fixed..

Post back here and let us know how you get on..

Not sure whats happening there..

There should not be a timeglass..

There should be the word "VIX" spinning instead of the egg timer..

It alomost sounds like you dont have VIX1.3 installed..

Sorry, I posted wrong. It's not a timeglass, it's VIX spinning...

Now another problem...I tried to flash it instead with Ferret's BH back up image, but my box still tries to start VIX 1.3. My stick is formatted in Fat 32, shall I use something else for BH images (front port of course..) I think there's a major problem now..maybe my flash memory is corrupt...?

I read on Vu support that there were one or two with the same problem as you.
They cured there issues with a reflash.. and do the updates 1st before anything..
Hope this works for you..

Shit shit shit...It won't boot anymore. It get stuck on "starting". I can reach it though DCC though...And I can't flash a new image through front USB port. What's next..?

I'll guess I have to try to flash it through Noll modem cable...

YES!:D I decided to try reflashing through USB one more time. I took away all cables and backport usb-stick first, and let the box be without power for 10 min and then I managed to flash it! Software updates directly and reboot. Now it's ok again. Great, I thought I had bricked my box somehow...
One weird thing though..first time I flash it it came with default skin and this time with Vu_HD+.
I think maybe the problem was that I had both an hdmi-cable and a scart-cable connected first time (scart going to an old DVD-recorder). That could explain the "starting and spinning VIX- problem". The box did'nt know where to go, hdmi or scart input....?

Thx everyone for helping me :thum::thum::thum:
