Freeware is just a tool to make use of otherwise valuable information. Noone releases valuable information for the purpose of freeware/opensource benefit and happyness of public. Someone always does it for their own benefit.
Don't blame the Chinese, they just do what's natural to them. It's just too tempting not to pay some $$$ to a good hacker who can reverse engineer the hash modes, just like it might be tempting for that hacker not to accept the $$$, even though in the beginning the hacker maybe thought he would do it for fun and to make his ego feel good... now he can also make his wallet feel good
The only way you had powervu working is because valuable information was released for the benefit and happiness of the public, and was released first than any other powervu commercial venture, you can check this same board for its history.
So do not come here telling us a different story,I am surprised actually you that been around for so long (if you are the general I know) do not understand the commercial pushers used oscam public information to open powervu, this is not like the egg and the chicken,we know where everything came from.
To this day,all emulators work because someone helped the public, since the first freedec release.
It is known also that since the firmware disassembles were posted publicly, many hackers took advantage and even downloaded the updates from stream and analyzed it and are feeding the chinese companies (or whoever is selling this boxes). My take is only one person feeding all of them.
There is money on hacks only until the provider stops them, that's it.
But do not get confused and confuse others : most freeware hackers are dedicated to help freeware.
Is not about the money for many of them, while for some is.
You should be glad there is people that helped this hobby for so long and still do it.
You must blame whoever is the cause of the problem, not the ones that started all without asking for anything.....Oscam still free and being supported,no reason to spit on their face because they are not fixing their emu
