After downloading this image and unpak it on my PC I got lots of
errors.

Do I need to Compile it or what ?
Other image I get as xxx.img rename to usb_update.img and then
load into my IP9000 from USB-stick.

Sorry,but why you unpack a USB Image(is not a Flash Image)on your PC?You must take the Flash Version.

Thanks for the answer.
I thought that USB image was to USB stick load.

But the flash version is not working I got 'PKT SVN-1854' in the
display and black screen. And nothing else happing.

yes it is a little confusing,
if its a usb image then i'd expect it to be for usb stick
this ought to be named such as usb image flash via pc
or usb image usb stick.
i too get confused with these files
also do they ALL have t be renamed usb_update.img

a file named;

xxxxxxxxx.img is for flash memory (inbuilt memory/nand)and needs to be flashed either from flash tools or pceditor, or rename xxxxxxx.img to usb_update.img and use the usb upgrade method.

xxxxxxxxx.tar.gz is for usb/hdd and needs unpacking to the usb or hdd using the box itself or a Linux pc, with command 'tar -zxvf xxxxxxxx.tar.gz'

just to confirm the tar.gz file goes onto usb stick and directly into box then box usb update will see it without it being renamed

if you want to install the software to the internal flash memory then use xxxxxx.img, this can be updated onto the box using 1 of the above methods for xxxxxx.img

if you want to install software to either usb or hdd and have the box boot the software on either then you need to use the xxxxxx.tar.gz. put the tar.gz on usb/hdd and extract the software. you cant use windows to extract the tar.gz. this must be done on a linux machine, either your box or a linux pc.

to do it on your box, boot up the box using whatever software is installed in flash. if you have a hdd installed and you want to use the usb to boot from then;

hdd = /dev/sda
usb = /dev/sdb

if you have no hdd then;

usb = /dev/sda

instert usb into pc and transfer xxxx.tar.gz to usb then inster the usb into your box. telnet to your box and;

cd /dev/sdx1 (sdx1 is the usb)

tar -zxvf xxxxxxxxx.tar.gz

then you will need to use one of the multioot configs that boot form usb sdx1

DLNA Sever dont work !

Has anyone tried to run DLNA server with this image on a IP9000 ?
I cant get it to work !
I go into: 'PKT BluePanel-Mount Center-DLNA Server'
When I then select 'Run Server' I get the following message.
'miniDLNA server is not installed, install it first from available plugins'
I go into plugins and installing it and it goes on, but with som
errors I think about missing or wrong direktories. But it ends with finnised install. But when try to run it again I get the same message. If I try to install again it says it is allready installed. Wath to do ?

Non-latin characters (unicode) support

I am trying to upload several files with their names containing non-latin characters (Greek).
Unfortunately, these characters are not recognised by the OS.
Is there anything I can do for this issue?
Is there any unicode support for this image ?

ENIGMA2 update per USB stick/ MAC

Hi friends,

I have problems to update my IPBOX. I have currently an old AAF image installed and I want to upgrade it now.

1. problem: I have MAC and now Windows PC --> no flashtool works thus I can´t flash it easily
2. question: how can I do an easy update per USB stick? All explanations in here are either incomplete or do not work with my Ipbox9000HD!

Please give me an exact advice. I appreciate your support.

is there a way to install flashexpand
in The Dream image dere is a Plugin to move Extensions To hdd on a dev

my HDD is mounting

/dev/sda1 free space fore expand
/dev/sda2 swap
/dev/sda3 HDD record

Any one having problems with 1-4-7(rewind) and 3-6-9(forward) buttons in playback? Doesn't seem to work at all in USB/IP9000 image. Anyone have idea how to fix this? My setup is a clean installation without backup.
