well it loaded quick and easy as always
the default skin didnt work on my tv very well who the hell thought dayglow red with pale yellow would be a winner i couldnt read a word of it i changed the skin sadly metrix failed to load but mx_hd4 did so i have to use that for now think windows 98 and you have it imagined
im not going to try the other one yet because at 4m:30s to soft load enigma it takes awhile
which brings me neatly onto my other question, it just me or does the gui seen slow ? compared to the last one i know the enigma boot is longer for sure
but the menus seem slower and less responsive
i'm going to give it a week and see if it grows on me failing that i can always go back to the old cobra image until it becomes redundant
so i have to ask cobra why move over to openatv away from openpli ? you got that last pli image to sit up and beg then roll over

Hi well I like to try different base images openatv has protensial and yes it is a bit slower than openpli but in saying that I think oe2.0 needs more cpu power witch the dm800 just dose not have. You can change the skin setting but each time you must save settings and it writes a new skin
Mite go back to openpli for v00.4.

ps. you don't have to rename the CCcam.cfg in the usr/keys folder I have done it all for you just add you c-line in CCcam.cfg in the usr/keys folder and do the full restart easy as 1 2 3:thum:

Thanks for the file. I will try it later as I have got it working via tspanel/softcams and having my cccam.cfg file it the /etc. So far very good. I agree with thefreak, it does seem slow. Then again you can't have everything.

well i switched skins again this time to the concinnityhd
and it's improved the look and feel 100%.
I could'nt stand the ghost of win98 anymore, did a full cold reboot and no improvment in boot time but the whole image is running faster and smoother on the new skin its layout is simple and elegant compared to the default skin which is quite busy onscreen and overscaled

its only been running 9 hours so too early to whoop it up but it seems rock solid on all the plugins i've tried with it which is a big plus if its going to take 4.30 to soft boot there is only so much time in your life you can dedicate to staring at spidermans nuts while it loads
and your right about giving it a go there are alot of bright people working with openatv at the moment and i can see the advantages of using an image that is not so bloated on the back end

hi I am trying out a new idea based on openpli 3.0 on oe2.0 ssl84D I have managed to get it to boot up in under 1 min looking good so far you mite see v00.4 sooner than you think I will release a standard version and the usb version here we go again lol.

you really should have a donate button with the amount of work and effort you put into creating and supporting these images you really do make it idiot proof and simple to get the latest images
i know i tried a dozen different images in the past and never really got them working well and stable

Hi cobra1423, format ok usb no hdd, after ipk file loads first thing I get is lots package errors (shows as no architecture I think)then get unpacking files. Leave till end DONE message around 10 minutes then use Finish. If do not reboot here then picture will show after another 5 or 6 minutes. Switch off-on then image starts to load then screen goes blank with red led flashing - went for shower came back and still blank.

Loading V00.2 just now to check system and will try V00.3 again and post actual package error messages I get at second step in next 1/2 hour or so.

do you have a internal hard drive also can you go into dcc telnet type in df then hit enter and copy and paste the info here.:thum:

Hi again - tried loading again with different usb - still same problem with resetting power - tried sda1 but just same result.
Sorry but do not have internal hdd. messing about with different images and ended up no CA so back to serial cable and will stick with V00.2 as leaving soon for work abroad - hopefully when I get back V00.4 my be out.. Thanks again for your assistance in last few days and keep up the good work as the V00.3 image looks good.

hi if you ask me your in over your head on this one if your a beginner anyway here we go. you will find the config files in etc/tuxbox/config use dcc to edit

here is an example
anything in red you can change to your need .

Use this N line in cccam.cfg if you want to use the Newcs protocol to connect to CCcam. Only use 256 if using CCCam 2.1.3 or below . to show your card as a local .

N: 127.0.0.1 15500 user pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

the username & pass in account & N line must be the same .

the port number in newcamd must be the same as in your N line .

256 @ the end of the N line is to show your card as local .

with these settings your card will update providing you give a close & known peer a C line like this :

C: myserver.dyndns.tv 13001 user pass yes

the yes @ the end is required for the known peer to send EMM to update the card .

in the F line for this peer it should look like this

F: user pass 1 0 1 { 0:0:2 }

the 2nd 1 allows the EMM to update your card .

you can see your entitlements by opening the web browser & entering the box ip with the webif port .

oscam with cccam will only show your card as local ( hop0 ) with 2.1.3 or earlier versions . cccam 2.1.3 is the better option .

make sure the config directory has 755 attribute & the 3 oscam files in that directory have attribute 644

oscam.conf
oscam.server
oscam.user

oscam will only read your card & forward it via the N line to CCcam . you then give C lines to your peers as usual .

upon putting all your settings together make sure you stop oscam then cccam via the blue panel .

restart oscam then cccam . this allows oscam to read the card before cccam .

any changes to configs in oscam will take effect upon restart of oscam
there are many other settings that you can have but this is a basic setting to get going .
