I can't see those sats... but this is how I configure:

http://127.0.0.1:17999/1:0:1:5:1:1:BE48F20:0:0:0:

So what you are saying that is that I should setup like this:

http://192.168.11.97:127.0.0.1:17999/1:0:1:5:1:1:BE48F20:0:0:0:

I have to have the ip address of the receiver and relay ip address with port? this is different format

127.0.0.1 will be at the location you type.
if you type that in vlc, it will try to find the channel on your computer, you need to use the adress of your reciver

oscam:conf

[streamrelay]
stream_source_auth_user = vu
stream_source_auth_password = vu
stream_relay_port = 17999
stream_relay_enabled = 1

[webif]
httpport = 16003
httpallowed = 192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255,127.0.0.1

oscam:user

[account]
user = vu
description = vu
monlevel = 4
group = 1

goto your oscam web side (vuboxIP:16003).
in config menu and stream relay you enter

0 - disable
127.0.0.1

This is what I have in oscam.user:

[account]
user = linuxsatsupport
description = dvbapi
keepalive = 1
au = 1
group = 1,2,3,4,5

do I change this to yours?

So i did all you said ... now what will the streaming channel address be? 127.0.0.1 or vu ip addess?

you will need the
[account]
user = linuxsatsupport
description = dvbapi
keepalive = 1
au = 1
group = 1,2,3,4,5

it is the dvbapi user, add what I posted. if you hava any of the topics [streamrelay], [webif]. just edit them to the one I pasted to you. I tryed to make it your config.

This is what I have now in the user:
[account]
user = linuxsatsupport
description = dvbapi
keepalive = 1
au = 1
group = 1,2,3,4,5

[account]
user = vu
description = vu
monlevel = 4
group = 1

and i edited the other ones... should I not change the group id of dvbapi to 2,3,4,5 ... isn't this a conflict?

I also noticed that the IPTV channel stream that I added to the vu I can't switch channels... looks like they are only available if I browse to them... but not really there if I flip channels up and down.... they are grayed out in the channel list... is that normal?

What format should I use now?

http://127.0.0.1:17999/1:0:1:7:1:1:C609035:0:0:0:

or

http://192.168.11.97:17999/1:0:1:7:1:1:C609035:0:0:0:

Stream relay is to watch on vlc or vu+?

I tried both and still doesn't work ... should I change image to openatv?

my gs streamer is really old ... would this make a difference?

I use openpli
you use relay as the box does not support how the video get decoded, it is to slow, ( box HW or soft code). you then feed the raw audio and video pid into vlc who use your computer power to recalculate the raw data stream from your vu box.
so the relayed stream are to watch in VLC

I'm sure some one out there have made a small tool to transcode the data to ts and feed it back to the box. but this is software we only may dream of

so what you are saying is that this due core cpu is not enough to view powervu channels? and If I wanted to watch i need to use a computer using vlc? so that the vu+ streams to the computer?

why would I want to stream to the computer when I can use a computer emulator

first. yes. and emulator??

if the box is slow it will become even slower if you run any computer emulator at it

I saw pictures on this site showing people watching powervu with the vu receivers... I can't believe that it only works streaming to a computer...
