Method of Opening PowerVu Channels in Enigma2 Using Oscam

Quite a few people here including me are getting powervu channels with oscamemu. Can somebody please indicate if other channels are availbale on 4.8East? Until now I could only view Discovery ones.

Does this work on a DM800 HDPVR ? Anyone got it working? What image are you using? How did you install the OSCAM patch.

Is working fine in DM800 original and clone with any image and the pathced emu.

Installation depends on image,but following oscam emu readme :
oscam binary goes in /usr/bin
oscam confgurations files and softcam file goes in /etc/tuxbox/oscam
You can simply start it using telnet,type
oscam -b (to start it without logging)
If you loaded a working softcam key file,you should have video

Because powervu uses different keys for audio and video,so audio 2,3,4 and so might be all using different keys than first audio.
This is not the way CSA is working (but also could do the same),so was never a problem before.

Okay, i have installed it on to my DM800. I am having the following problem :

When i tune to channel, 70% of time, black screen. 30% of time, video and audio will play for about one second and then video will freeze, and audio will stop. I can turn away from the channel and back to it to continue this 70/30% outcome.

I have verified OSCAM is not crashing and is still running. I am running Sim 210

Anyone have thoughts? or run into this? and/or have a solution?

Yes I did all of this and put softcam key file in /etc/tuxbox/oscam still hasn't worked.:mecry:

oscam log will tell you where is looking for softcam file,and also all other files,when it doesn't find them.
See if you can put all files where oscam expect them to be.
There is also symlinks for some locations,must check those

Yes I get a lot of errors in the log file, it can find the constant.cw and softcam.key which are the onlys lines i have changed but still getting lots of errors

I'm starting to think it doesn't like something about my DM800. Might it be the tuner? It descrambles the video/audio for maybe 1 second, and then video freezes and audio stops. I can turn away from the channel, and back to the channel, and it will repeat.

Oscam is working fine. So, something else is up. I have installed 5 or 6 images. I am now running the latest OpenPLI and still having the same issue of video/audio freezing. CPU is not maxed out. CPU use is very low.

Any Thoughts?

It likes your dreambox better then mine i dont even get a second it just dosent work

If it was the tuner, I would guess you would have problems with all channels, not just powervu. Are you using stream relay mode, or the new "native" decoding? What does the oscam log show?

It does this on all po*ervu channels i tried i managed to decode one non p0wer8u channel which suggusts oscam is working.

It is clear oscam cannot find the key in SoftCam.key or the file SoftCam.key
Make sure the file use the correct syntax,then also that the file is unix compliant.
You can use dos2unix in the same dreambox for this.

yes i think it finds the file, but I think the keys i am putting in for pow**vu cannot be right format, sadly I dont know what the right format is.
