Kabelio on 13E

Also don't forget to tweek the twist on the lnb also give the surface of the dish a gente wipe if it's dirty. Also remember lnb s vary in quality.
Thanks for the advice. I have tweaked the position of the dish and optimised the skew on the LNB. I did another blind scan and got over a thousand TV channels but unfortunately no Kabelio on 10.853. I'm receiving feeds on adjacent frequencies that are showing 97% Signal Strength and 97% Quality. So not sure what might be up. If I make a new TP with the correct Transponder Frequencies, Symbol Rate and Polarisation then there is zero signal and zero quality. I have tried on a Technomat 5402 M3 and an older IceCrypt.

When I put the Kabelio frequency in the receiver on a frequency search - Zilch. I only have receiver based metering no satellite meter. The receiver metering is responsive and will show even a low signal if it is there. I would guess it is a receiver based issue as I would be surprised to get almost perfect signal on one channel then nothing at all on the next even allowing for different transmission powers band to band.

It sounds that you are on Eurobird 9 deg east satellite. Feeds comes from adjacent 10 east satellite.
If satellite antenna is aimed to Hotbird 13 east, then there are no feeds to receive.

Thanks for the info! A reverse channel look up indicates I'm on Astra 19.2E I thought I was on Hotbird 13E as on the channel list there were lots of hotbird channels listed!? At least I know where I am pointing and can search afresh for Hotbird13E!

I managed to locate and tune the Hotbird 13E Satellite and now have the Kabelio channels. They are showing as V polarisation rather than horizontal. Could it be that my LNB is 180 degrees out of position? Would that cause the inverse reception. The TP reads at 97% Signal and 92% quality. Thanks

Yes just set up and working fine in Málaga with a Technomate 5402 HD M3 and 1m dish.
Activating the card was pretty easy just need to find a valid Swiss address and use a translator from German to English to complete the fields, used my real name and date of birth and obviously a valid email address for activation.

All set up and working fine using a Technomate TM5402 M3, 80cm dish in Malaga.
Good to know as i hope to get the card working in my 5402 M3. I was going to get a Technisat DigiPlus UHD S-2 but both Kabelio and Technisat have responded saying the unit is currently incompatible. Is it possible to record with the Technomate while watching a different channel and/or to record two Kabelio channels at once?

Yes, I have recorded BBC whilst watching ITV no problem. I haven't tried recording two channels yet though.
Update, I have successfully recorded two channels whilst watching a third on the same transponder.

So I have two 5402HD M3 receivers, I tried taking out the CAM and inserting it into the other machine but I just get 'CAM initializing', put it back in the original machine and it is fine, does anyone know why?
