Hi all

NEED HELP

problem: as title
sympton: just red light on disply

Cause : update via usb intruppted.(pulled out usb while programming)

Done:-
1. tried all usb port NO RESULT
2. tried serial+lan using vu utility NO RESULT
3. Disconnected hdd NO RESULT
4. Replaced power supply NO RESULT
5. Left unit unplugged for 24hr NO RESULT

LOOKING FOR JTAG INFO NO RESULT

Please help needed to get box back to life

any help thank you in advance.:mad:

is it using a linux program

bootconsloe seems linux program
which program would u advise

Hi mate

Have you disconnected all usb and HDD from the receiver than maybe try original image on usb ?

so your box is again under warranty ;) send it to vu+ company

Contact Vu+ and ask them what you can do for get back box life Or how they will do for repair your vu+duo (warranty)

JUST RED LIGHT NOTHING ON DISPLAY.

hi there i have read the your first post but i want to just make sure whats goin on with your box how is your linux skill m8 i can send you some info to get your box to live but if you give rong command will kill your box so you cant use your box again to do this you nead Putty program and RS232 cross cable.....

yes i do have a cable rs232 which i have used with dm500.

MATE, I HAD SAME ISSUES, MY ADVISE IS CONTACT ALSAT, THEY ARE THE MAIN DISTRIBUTORS FOR VU BOXES. FOUND THIS OUT BY CONTACTING VU DIRECT. SEND IT TO THEM, SAY YOU SPOKE TO VU AND ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THEY WILL SORT IT FOR YOU :)

hi mate

yes i have taken the box to other dealer.
they could not sort it out.
1 year warranty in UK.

i have sent emails to VU+ , BUT SO FAR NO REPLY.

THE MAIN CONCERN IS BETWEEN FAMILY AND FRIEND WE 5 VU+DUO AND IF ANY THING GOES WRONG, DOES IT MEAN BIN JOB......?
