now when u upgard new soft u will not lose ur channel list u can keep it without using channel edit...

Chek that you have select right com port and that you have a null modem cable

yes first make sure option given @xtrue and try your cable with other stb...
then try this...

cable have to be
2--3
3--2
5--5
7--8
8--7
also try open the pc--stb loader find your frimware and load then power off the receiver ( from back switch)select your com port then switch on the receiver upload will start if dosent upload try again the same think 2 more time
