What else more than being able to use original images, original drives, original plugins, interfaces, etc, can you ask a sim to do?

As it stands, it is the sim to have as no more can be asked from any cloned sim, more than working with genuine product :thum:

In short if a original box does it or can use it the a8p can

I got an a8p sim a couple of weeks back.
It's great to be able to play with the latest images on my 800se.
My only worry now is flashing a clone image by accident

What exactly is the issue your having ?

Well I've just ordered one - presumably I just treat it exactly the same as I would a DM800SE original in terms of the SSL and image flashing process?

The only time you have to be careful is the first flash

Leave the old sim you have in.

Flash a original image.

Now kill the power and exchange the sim with the A8p sim and boot.

Yes treat it as a original ssl and image.

so if my box comes with the sim pre-fitted I can assume they have already done the 'first flash' and proceed as normal?

Yes if it comes installed in the box just install a original image of your choice and enjoy a stress free clone

None will boot for me

No errors they just don't boot

I know of someone running the a8p on se with a FP3 mate, I have never seen anybody reporting that issue.

Good so it is not A8P related just a general build issue effecting original sims too.

I have both FP1 and FP3 on my two DM800SE and it will work with A8P-chip.

Everything work good with A8P sim,i tested yesterday ITALYSAT SVN84 image,in my sunray triple tunner(OpenPli based).

if i use card for first time...should i also put in the Original driver and then originel image ....or is just the image enough?
and what image should i use for first time.. had one a8p before and put in cvs image? and card didn"t worked for me so second time i am more carefull

Mate what I do is this

Leave your current sim in

Flash a original image and let it complete but don't reboot it.

Now turn the power of at the back and now swap your ols sim with your a8p sim and boot.

A8P uses original images and original drivers.

thanks worked fine without any problem....first put in dream elite image,after that an open pli(both work great)...so now i can use any Original image that i like?....or should i avoid some of the images
