Symbol Rate and Polarity V/H will not need to change when manually adding its just the FREQ
adding the 3 Zero's at the end like i showed is all that is needed : )

YES JUST COPY/PASTE CW Key After you lock and scan the Feed/Channel
if feed is 4:2:2 and BISS Encrypted then need to use LAV Filter Codecs to see picture
if feed is 4:2:0 and BISS Encrypted after copy/paste CW Key picture will display instantly : )

brilliant, all making sense now, thank you, i will then tackle reducing the delay times in live sporting events :) i think this is possible with certain configrations in VLC

Guys, what player is the best for the lowest latency of streaming football matches? is it still the case of vlc player and optimizing? or are other players better suited?

Thanks

Unless the feed is in 4:2:2 chroma format a decent satellite receiver will be OK, no need to stream.

For 4:2:2 feeds, VLC is possibly as good as any, unless you want to get an RX8200 IRD (Ericsson/MediaKind) and get to grips with learing how to operate one.
For general viewing of 4:2:2 feeds I would use VLC, for wages I would use an RX8200.

Question. Transcoding. If displaying video at the moment from a channel tuned on a sat receiver which is 4:2:2. And quality isn't really that important.
Could a live transcoder be implemented into E2 receivers which could possibly downscale and output to HDMI?
I see hints of Linux applications that could but not much of incorporating into E2.

Thank you, yes the plan is to get an RX8200 with low delay and BISS enabled. what intrigued me is when i read some saying that they could match the latency with a pcie sat card to that of a RX8200.

my only concern in investing in a receiver is the future with many moving to BISS 2 encryption

would appriciate your thoughts on this

Thanks

There is currently no way to view biss-2 feeds unless the RX8200 or appropriate receiver is registered with the EBU database and has the appropriate permission for the feed in question.
You can load biss-2 firmware into an RX8200, no problem. However, the receiver still needs registration and permission via the EBU.

This situation is likely to remain, receivers and TBS cards will continue to be unable to clear biss-2 feeds.
