39E Bulsat-Irdeto Channels Only
19.2E Canal Digitaal NL-Irdeto Channels Only, 19.2E ORF Digital, 19.2E AustriaSat, 19.2E Canal Sat-Viacom Channels Only
13E RAI Channels when encrypted are open
4.8E Ariqva (Chello Zone Media inc HustlerTV etc)

Most EMUs also Viasat 4.8E (Soft N*D*S Channels Only), 19.2E TNT Sat

About 100+ channels, plus at least another 30-40 encrypted in Biss and 30+ odd decent FTA chanels

Some EMUs also get you 13E SSR/SRG Swiss & more of 19.2E Canal Sat, pirate EMU cards get you 13E Bis, 1W UPC Direct, 13E ZeeTV, 75E RagdulaTV

yes very little

plenty if you know where too look........but yes C/S also good (loving my free year of C/S on Spiderbox :p  :D)

My TOP 5 recommendations: AzBox Receiver (if you have the cash and want 4:2:2 and everything)

Or: Dreambox, VU+ or Spiderbox :D (all these can give you HD if you get the right model and all give you cheap entry into the Card Sharing World...which is killing off our hacks.......save hacking :p)

And Fausto is a great program to add Emulation to older boxes (or just to add missing stuff to newer ones) as well

Lazy option is buy a new Spiderbox every year...(its a shame the Ethernet C/S isn't renewable)

But there are plenty of places to get good Free (eg I had Sky Italia open for a few days recently), Swap & Pay C/S Newcamd & CCCam lines from, just look around the net or ask friends via PM (we are not a C/S site so cant say too much on open forums on the subject!)

Humax 5400 has me chuckling . Like you , the last box I used was the faithful Humax . With HD and c-lines etc. I upgraded only recently to Ferguson Ariva 102e . Installed Patch and it works great . Recording to USB flawlessly . It's certainly a worthwhile upgrade , if even only to get up to date with how technology has changed . Keenly priced too . Good Luck with your purchase :)

I had (still have) a Spiderbox 9000 HD and I mostly bought it because of the gift. Gift was nice but very glitchy - in middle of a movie (or sports) you don't want the picture to disappear for 5 minutes. When the gift ran out a year later I tried cccam and it was also glitchy despite the server I used was reputable. Couple months ago I bought a DM800HD se and what a difference I must say! Picture comes very fast and almost no glitches.

If you want to go cccam later on I would suggest DM or similar box. It is pain in the but to set it up tho, especially if you have no experience in DM. I think price is a bit higher too if you want original HD box. Also motor is difficult to set up with DM which made me buy a Torodial T90 dish. (T90 is nice as you don't have to wait for the dish to arrive desired satellite position but you can't tune in feeds anymore unless you live in centre of Europe.)

In short: you have to think what you want to do with the box before you decide. :)

New box.

If you dont want the complications of C.S. you have only one choice in my opinion.Ive been using protek receivers for the past 4 years with an abundance of commercial channels. You will need a router but you will be amazed at what is available. At the moment Im using HD. versions which I advise you to begin with.Easy to set up and the world is your ocean.About 15 packages with an average of 15 channels to each.Plenty with dual sound .Sateric.

Hi how does your setup work as i would be very interested in this as my spiderbox 9000hd has decided to packup after nearly 3 years, and would consider a protek receiver. Thanks Bonesy
