Vu+ Solo2 Tuner problem after lightning

As title says, i have a SOLO2 ORIGINAL box.
We had bad wether here last evening and my box was on power cord, when i wake up this morning the box was not working anymore.

The symptoms are
Box runs fine, i can go into menus, pluggins and all other areas of menu
So the box is up and running but when i try to search for channels or see on the channels that i have from before this signal lever drops out and comes back all the time, it is like i have 82 % signal then it drosm right a way.

I get no picture even on free channels either, so im left to belive that my tuners are dead and fried by lighting, but can this be possible when the rest of the box works just fine ?

Now im wondering is this something that i can be fixed ?? can i fix this my self ??

I updated the box with last BH image before writing this thread but still same problem, NO SIGNAL from any of the tuners :-(

anyone can help me out if there is anythign to do with this.

Hi,

I know this is a very old post but I had the same problem starting from last week when we had a power surge in house. Since then the box (Vu+ solo2) is fine except the tuners. Both are not working. Have you managed to get fix for yours?

The first thing I would try in this situation, is to disconnect your box and remove the casing cover.
It might just be the tuners have an internal fuse.
Never had a problem with my solo2 yet so im only guessing.

The tuners on the Solo2 are hard soldered to the main board which lead to the processor last time i looked i could not see any fuse for the tuners, there could on the other hand have regulators which may have been damaged

I have had 2 pcs with this problem, and have not managed to fix them.
i have lloked insode t, but cannot figure out what can or must be replaced :-(
