vu+ duo and hdd 2.5 inch internal !!

vu + suuported sata hdd 3.5

can i instal 2.5 hdd with sata ?

i can not instaled it
i have problem when i want formated with dream elite image

you can instal 2.5 instead of 3.5
but you need a holder

Today I Dream Hard 2.5 for 800 before I used to install on a vu +

Cables connected to my van I got the clear
I saw the images on the receiver at all, I did not recognize USB flash
With the same image on the flash and then entered the receiver with this image and I could not format my hard drive
Error would
i can not formated and monted
i have eror!!

when i put to reciver and turn on i havent any image in my usb ( meoboot is install)

i have problem

are you shure i can use 2.5 hdd?
a man in other weblog told to me that i can not use hdd 2.5!!!!
and he told me you must 3.5 hdd!!

when i put hdd into the reciver and cable connection hdd is fond with information of dram elite 1.3.2 image
but this image can not formated it!!

note:
I already had it on Dream box with oe1.6 images I had installed and have not Frmtsh

If t your drive was previously used in a PC then pop it back in your PC and under adim tools delete the partition/drive. Pop it back in the VU.

Then use telnet to format and mount the drive.

Try this if your have OE 1.5 image

umount /media/hdd
mkfs.ext3 /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1
mount /media/hdd
mkdir /media/hdd/movie

If you have OE1.6 image try this

umount /media/hdd
mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda1
mount /media/hdd
mkdir /media/hdd/movie


With the Dream Elite image after doing this you must then map your drive and recording path.

If your using the Dream Elite image this is a common problem.

Another way around it is to load the VTI image initialize with that image then put DE back and just map your drive and recording paths.

Fat32 wont be recognized as a internal drive it would need to be formatted to NTFS.
