Vu Duo 2 Problems.

Recently my Vu Duo 2 has started to switch channels on its own and then record.
There are no timers set. The flashing red dot in the skin indicates its recording.
I have had ti disconnect my positioned as it just sends my dish to a random satellite and records.
I have re flashed it from scratch and it does exactly the same thing.
If i try to shutdown i get message recordings in progress or coming up.

Just wondered if anyone had a similar problem.

Never heard of the issue.

Wondering if the remote is sending commands on its own ?

Take the remote barries out and see if this still happens.

No not the remote.
Definitely something to do with timers or maybe a bug.
Anybody know the path to timer folder by ftp.
I could maybe delete contents manually.
Or when it starts recording is there a way to find out which channel is recording and manually stop it.?

After re-flash, how bugs remain ?, there may some hardware issue

Exactly how can it be a bug if you have re flashed unless you re flashed the same image.

If you did try another image.

Only tried Black hole and open black hole. Clean instal without backup installed.
The shutdown message reads recordings in progress or common up on a few seconds do you really want to shut down.
I will give it a try with a different image. but i suspect i will have the same result.
I still have my first Duo 2 sat in a cupboard that just boots to a green screen with any image after being returned for repair.
Might have to look for a different box.
Getting expensive.

Just a thought have you updated the CFE on these boxes ?

If you have when they boot it will state v2 CFE

I had the same problem.
Since I opened up my Vu from Internet to web and to stream, someone found out that my box was open, so they streamed TV from it. This was easily solved by a http password.
It looks like the box is recording, but its streaming.

My vuduo2 occasionally turns itself off repeatedly, and this does it with new images and different blackhole openatv other.

Just changed the password, it was default.

You never said if your boxes were on CFE V2

Sorry Ferret box CFE V2 password change made no difference.
Re flashed clean tonight with original Vu image. Had about an hour without a problem, but a bit early to tel.

Looks like jotne was correct.
I closed the ports on my router about a week ago and not had a problem since.
