Will this box work with a sky q LNB? and cables? and if so whick one of the two cables will it work with? Thank you
I may be wrong but are those sky q lnb's not suitable for a viark 4k. Don't you have to change the lnb to the universal or when installed hopefully they installed a hybrid lnb.Yes and both .
second cable used for recording on Sky box but will still operate as 2nd input cable too .
sky q LNB is just a basic universal Quad LNB just a fancy name and sticker on it nothing more : )
That's my understanding too. The Sky Q LNB to the best of my knowledge is a wide and type. You can get a hybrid type Sky Q LBB that has two inputs for the Q side and 4 inputs for the universal side.I may be wrong but are those sky q lnb's not suitable for a viark 4k. Don't you have to change the lnb to the universal or when installed hopefully they installed a hybrid lnb.
Credit to and you moreHi, I have a Viark sat 4 K running well for about 15 months. I was deleting a few channels I don't use and it locked up. It re-boots in a loop. Is there a procedure to recover the box and does anyone have the official firmware to use? I spent a few hours searching and couldn't find the answer or original software. Thanks, Dragonm.
Many thanks for your help. I will try it after my pains have eased off and can get my head round it. Thanks again bud.Credit to and you more
I leave you a manual for the recovery of the Viark SAT 4K, or with boot problems, it is always recommended to use the latest FW from the manufacturer
1º Copy the official firmware to a USB Pen Drive with nothing inside (formatted to FAT:32).
2º With the USB set to the root, the receiver is turned off (without connecting the power source), the power button is kept pressed while the source is connected.
3º We wait for an informative progress bar to appear and we release.
4º When the update is finished, the home screen appears again.
Firmware attached
I have tried it several times and failed so far. I formatted the USB stick to fat 32. Then followed the instructions. The USB stick has a flashing light, but doesn't load and the TV screen has the word: VIARK and it doesn't progress from there. Any ideas? Many thanks for your help. 1. Format a USB to FAT32.
2. Rename the software to "update.bin" and copy to the USB.
3. With the Viark disconnected from the power, insert the USB into the VIARK receiver.
4. Turn on the Viark and press and (hold) the POWER button on the front of the receiver.
5. Release the POWER button, once the letters "-ES-" appear on the display, since the recovery will begin.
Note: if the recovery fails, try several more times, as it sometimes fails.
