Signal strength means noting on the Viarks it barely changes regardless of how weak a signal is. The quality figure is the one to go by.

Do we think the Viark boxes are sensitive?

As for strength, yeah I think they top out at 93%.

Nope, the tuner is shit in the Viark Sat 4K, I can pickup more channels on most sats with my Ultimo4K than I can on the Viark and people moan about the Ultimo4K not working with blindscan when using fbc tuners, the viark does have blindscan and misses half the bloody channels lol.

That's strange, its the other way round for me.

I can pick up more channels, e.g. BEIN on 7w, than I can on the VUuno4K!

I also find my Viarks more sensitive than my Ultimo 4K. In my opinion, the VU boxes have poor sensitivity in my experience.
That's interesting, never really noticed will have to check some weak TP;s for comparison.
I find the old twin tuners (non fbc) that can actually blind scan work as well as any box i have used, but those tuners are not dvbsx capable sadly.
The biggest issue with the viark droi (and my gt combo) is they pick up channels from other sats. A scan on 10east also picks up 9east channels like WTF.
The reported TP details are also wrong on both the android boxes.

The reason for me asking is the signal quality when using my 1m dish on 28.2e for example is very similar to when I plug my minidish in. About 4% in it.

Now it could be overload……

If I plug a meter into both feeds, my 1m dish is noticeably stronger.

I think that VIARK SAT 4K is a very good receiver. Good tuner and good blind scan.
The only issue is that blind scan covers the entire band without the chance to set a specific frequency range.
This creates the problem mentioned above, a satellite scan could load channels from different sats (10E and 9E for example, but also 4W and 5W). This is because these satellites use different Ku band portions.
It would be very useful if such scanning range option could be added in a next firmware update.
