@1980nicola but it all honesty , what is 3 seconds in channel switching , You just put on the channel you want and work away , How many seconds do people waste waiting between ads and the program you are watching .. Cant really complain about something that is cheap and much cheaper than the real thing!

I have viark sat, picture quality is excellent, channel change on forever channels is a little slow but thats for a reason. Fta or using your own line is fast

I think i will choose the viark sat 4k.. but i will keep my vu+. We don't know foever how long it will last..

So you have no experience of these boxes at al then ?

3 second channel change ive only ever seen that on stream relay channels on the Viark.

You will have extended channel switching times on your duo 4k on those channels also.

updated my expired box with new firmware but its still on old server v1.39 not v1.40 so still no good for sp1/2. thanks akrem for known improvements

It's the channel search after you do a blind search for TPs.

I don't think network search works on iptv as that is usually a list given or organized by the service provider. So network search is usually for when you are scanning for satellite or cable channels if you select yes it will search for other channels related to ones that are found, such as if it finds a sky channel it will search for more sky channels along with the normal search. By selecting yes it usually picks up a number more channels than a normal search.

NETWORK SEARCH is based on the transponders just stored in the box. Reading transponders data, the box is guided to load and scan new transponders not previously stored in its memory.
Not related with blind scan.

If you select a Network scan, it alleviates the need to ensure your Transponder list is complete and up to date as each TP used by a Network provider will carry raw data bearing the parameters of all the other TPs it uses on that Satellite - so simply scanning one known TP with "Network" enabled, will ensure that all other TPs on that Network are added and scanned.

It's a facility to reduce the amount of manual updating required to TP lists.

Not as powerful as a Blind (or Auto) scan, which finds any and all active TPs on a Satellite regardless of Network, but pretty useful nevertheless.

Hi guys,
I have a question regarding Sky DE and Sky Austria.
Does your Viark Sat 4K recognise the channels Sky Sport 2-10, Sky Bundesliga 2-10 and Sky Sport Austria 2-8?
I am aware that these channels turn on automatically when there are live broadcasts. This is mostly during weekends and European Cups ( this applies only to Sky Sport Austria ).
However, during most times these channels do not broadcast anything. Anyway, my Viark has only the channels Sky Sport 1, Sky Bundesliga 1 and Sky Sport Austria 1.
