I do that yes

USB flash
Factory reset
Setup
Transfer channel list
Thanks @Ferret, I found your link on the forum with the latest update.

I have never done it before, but how straightforward is it to copy my channel list onto
a USB, save it, then upload it back onto to the Viark after I have done the latest update?

I am still getting used to this receiver since setting it up last week so this will be my first update since initial set up so my question is about a factory reset after putting on file. Is it mandatory to do this?.

Your going to loose the channel list anyway with this update so backup the one on your box.

Im very old school been updating this type of box for 30 year plus.

You may not have to factory reset but it takes 1 min and it clears out any shite from the flashing process.

Thanks for the advice Ferret@manic i have done exactly as you suggested in each step. I did a factory reset and uploaded saved channel list. I had a problem initially that obviously wifi was
disconnected and when going into to menu to reapply kept saying no network connection for ages i was using the wireless usb adapter that was in the packaging. Changed to another one i had spare and got into wifi
menu first time and it reconnected ok so up and running again. Probably just my end but just a gentle warning for anyone putting on the file to be careful with what usb wifi device is connected.
