VFD Problem

I saw some driver so as to solve VFD Problem ,however, how can I install driver ?

Depends on format of driver IPK/tar.gz should be sent to tmp folder for manual install of drivers you can ftp them to /lib/modules

First you need to determine if these drivers match your driver version

To determine the driver version you need to use telnet into the box and at the prompt type

cat /proc/version

and hit enter.

The output will show you a version it will be 4.1.1 or 4.4.3

Use the correct version from that matches what telnet showed you. Youll see the drivers are named 4.1.1 0r 4.4.3 version numbers

would you inform me is it correct ?

and another related question is this :

if I want to install manually the system just capable to install files with ipk format so how to install mentioned file

Those drivers are for the duo not the solo .

oh , you right so I found following files :

mbox-dvb-modules-vusolo-2.6.18-7.3-4.1.1-20110321.tar

and

mbox-dvb-modules-vusolo-2.6.18-7.3-4.4.3-20110321.tar

I understand that ko is one module file and should be sent in /lib/modules
and also I have checked version also is correct but would you inform me about prompt

I dont know about prompt for installation

is it true to be installed by , make , prompt or not ?

Just use the tar format

FTP to tmp and do a manual install from your images adoon panel
