I have vantage 7100s and i have installed throuth the ethernet port the latest firmware fror the Vantage site. The problems that I face is:

1) The smart card that I use is Irdeto2 from NETMED called NOVA here in Greece.
The receiver recognizes the card and diplays all the information of the card. When I tune the receiver to a NOVA channel I Have no image and no sound. Only when I press Info button I see all the program information correct. Why I dont have image and sound and how can I fix this?

2) I installed a WD MY BOOK 500GB hard disk with esata cable to the esata port to the receiver and from the menu to SATA section it reports "No media is connected". When I connect the hard disk using Usb2 cable and open the receiver it reports "Media is connected" but at the USB menu it opens the window null. It doesn't show the files. When I press FAV it says hard disk 465GB, 11 Gb used, 454 Gb free. Why i cannot access my files?

3)When I use a usb stick to the USB2 port and want to play an avi file the video goes slow, not smooth.Is the Vantage Player
able to play good the avi files?

4) Matroska files will be supported for Vantage Player?

Please help me!

If I install the latest firmware it contains all the bug fixes of the previous firmware's released or i have to install all the firmwares?

With this software 7100 combo receivers work too, last soft(020100) forgot the therrestial receiving.

I have 020200 instaled. ESata problem with Hard disk not recognized remains and smard card IRDETO2 problem also remains. Can you tell me witch unoriginal release is good? Can I trust unoriginal releases?

no...i think that the bugs recognidez are the same on the two releases...if also the other see these problems you can only wait a new release without them...

I hope to have these firmware soon.
Can you tell me if I need an IRDETO CAM to solve the problem with IRDETO? Are any IRDETO CAM's suitable for the VANTAGE 7100 or in the future with new firmware IRDETO smart card will be supported?

The irdeto card is recognized and works very good with an other firmware that the importer here in Greece installed to my receiver. I solved this issue. I now face this issue:
I formatted FAT32 an external Hard disk WD 500Gb My Book and when I connect it with esata cable it says "No media is connected" but when i connect it with USB2 it says "Media is connected". The problem is that when I play an avi file the Vantage player doesn't play smooth the video, it seem to have small breaks repeatedly.

Can you paste the FW here for rest of us?

Dont use the 1080 i settings
Use the 720p settings it hepls
