re Dots on front panel

Hi there,
If you have Loader L1.37 DO NOT TRY TO LOAD H2.08 LOADER!!

Download the latest Humax toolbox software and use the system ID tool to change your ID to ;

If you have IRCI-5400 on front panel use ID 00160000
If you have an 5400Z (chipped) model use ID 00160600

Use the ID tool to change the ID accordingly. If you write in software a wrong ID nothing wrong can happen to your box don't worry.

System ID : 00xx.0000 OAK-I PCB, MK2 tuner
System ID : 00xx.0400 OAK-I PCB, MK3 tuner
System ID : 00xx.0200 OAK-II PCB, MK2 tuner
System ID : 00xx.0600 OAK-II PCB, MK3 tuner

Check on your tuner ( physically ) and there should be a sticker which says MK2 tuner or MK3 tuner.

Check also on the mainboard if you have an OAK-I PCB or an OAK-II PCB
Use table above to get your proper Humax ID,

Example;
If you find you have an OAK-I PCB and an MK2 sticker , then your ID should be;
00160000

After that use a good channel editor , I suggest Setedit Oak V3 , (you can download it from the Setedit site).

Make sure that when you load a latest channel list in Setedit OAKV3,
before you transfer the data go in configuration and uncheck "When loading use personal LNB + menu settings" so you reset this area of your Humax as moist probably its corrupt.

Humax tend to corrupt this memory area and end up not being able to boot.

Take care my friend..:thum:

4 lines is either you need to reload your settings or the psu has failed, take the top off and check for blown capicitors.

re Humax

Humaxman, First of all Happy new year mate,

You said power supply was replaced with a good working one taken from another Humax 5400 so Power Supply is out of question.

When you turn it on from the back panel Power Switch, you should have momentarily the Loader version displayed on the Led display of the Humax.

Like say it displays L1.37 or H2.08 etc Are you getting it on your Humax?

Cause if you get the clock or a resetted clock straight away on Power-up that could mean corrupted loader in Flash memory.

If you DO get a loader displayed on Power-up then you still might think of checking your system ID as in my previous post..
