Updating drivers and second stage in DM8000

To update drivers and second stage in DM8000, where do I install them: in flash, in the images in USB, or in both? There are different statements about this, so I would like to know which is right. Have NabiloSat Pure Flash in flash, Nabilo and Gemini in USB and use Barry Allen.

Hi mate

Get the drivers in ipk format. Then ftp them to the tmp folder at the root of the image.

Then press the green button then yellow and manual install ipk. Install from there.

As for the second stage boot loader get that in nfi format and install it with your web browser or Dreamup. It will not harm your image in any way doing this.

Second stage update files are usually in ipk format also. Can I install them the same way as drivers, either manual install from /tmp folder or using telnet?
Where to install them? In flash or in USB images? Or in both?

You can yes just not the way i have done.

But it should work just the same.

Always install to the image in your flash mate. The images on USB use the drivers from the flash anyway.
