Dear friends,
A dongle is a mini sat receiver converted into a sat modem that connects a receiver to a sharing server. there are endless types of dongles: the best is Botech's microbox, german origion:
The dongle dish is to be directed to a sharing sat. like Eutelsat W3. The dongle connects with the receiver through an RS-232 cross cable (usually equiped with the donle).
The receiver should be twin-protool ready i.e. its software is adjusted to communicate with dongles:
Some receivers have internal dongle:
To adjust the dreambox software, we install the attached twin-pro plugin. after reboot, the plugin will appeare in the plugins menu and the blue panel:
After choosing it, the following window will appeare:
DO NOT PRESS (OK): this will change the communicating port into USB0.
press red from the RC. The twin-pro plugin starts (no need to restart Cccam):
If you need to check wether the donle is started, go to "servers" in the Cccam info:
The channels opens:
I tried to install it on the pli 2.1 enigma2 image... it installed successfully, yet when trying to start it, it crashes causing DM800 to restart...
Is it a matter of updating drivers (cause Pli Team stopped updating DM800HD images Drivers)
Can I get any help regarding this...
