Tuner Failed problem

HI,
Since i have purchased my DM 800 SE HD i have been having a serious problem when changing channels !

when switching from one satelite bouquet to another i get the message: Tuner Failed !! and most of the time the channel is not dedected anymore and i am stuck on 1 sat ! unless i restart the image and then i am able to switch between sats for some time before the same problem occurs !

anyone has a solution?

I had that problem and this helped me.
Use expert tuner expert settings and
lmb 1
diseq 1.0
commided diseq command AA
repeat sekvens to yes (this is the important settings)
the rest can be default

lmb 2
diseq 1.0
commided diseq command AB
repeat sekvens to yes (this is the important settings)
the rest can be default

tuner settings, i see you have SE maby there is no expert settings then, try to use the arrow to left when you are in tuner settings

Do you have a motor or switch and multi lnb ?

One thing is to try rescanning the sat that gives you the problem, do not select the channel you want to test from favorite bouquets as these don't get updated when you scan, choose the channel from the main sat list ans see if the problem is still there.

sorted it ! i reflashed my dream with a new image (i used nemesis) and it solved my problem ! did not have it anymore when swtiching channels ! love the new image

ouuuppssss !! it is not sorted out guys !! i am still having the same problem ! when watching a channels for more than at least 5 minutes, the dream is stuck at that satelite !! but it looks like it does that only when swtiching from diseqc D to any other, but not from A or B or C to any other !!
here is my config:
A- Badr
b- Nilesat
c- hotbird
d- Astra
but i have 1 other DM 800 clone, 1 VU+duo & 1 DM 500 all working fine without any problem on the same exact dishes ! do you think it is a problem from the receiver itself?

Could be the switch mate although your switch works with your other receivers it a well known fact the 800/8000 are picky with switches.

Take a look at this setup and try the advanced route of setup as apposed to simple.

i guess i have to set each LNB 1 to A and LNB 2 to B and so on right?

it did not work ! i set up the config as follows
LNB 1 badr
LNB 2 nilesat
LBN 3 Hotbird
LNB 4 Astra
not all channels where found after the manual search

to make sure it isnt a problem with the disecq switch.

remove the swith, and put the input directly into the hotbird LNB

configure the DM800 just to recieve the HotBird (Simple - Single LNB)

scan hotbird for channels

does it work then?

if that still doesnt work the problem is in your DM800
if now it does work. the problem is in your disecq setup and/or it's cabling
