But as it stands there is no IT,DE or UK via FS on a Technomate M4

My opinion they wont apply it and if they did you would not be able to trust it would be there to stay, so if the above is what you need dont waste your money with Technomate. Buy a Viark.

You know this you own Viark's

The viarks just get on with opening the channels alright, they have been open for ages and are pretty rock solid.

This is just a nice little thread to chat about a supplier from a time a few years back.

Viark Multistream autobiss good epg opens everything basically. Rock solid and long sub on 4k version

After putting on the new patch last night tried quite a few of the champions league 4.2.0 to see if au biss has improved as mentioned in the notes and can confirm it hasnt not one of them
cleared. The only Biss clearing are the regular channels using the regular key updates and even then it does not clear them all, At least now the Biss patch is back which is great news to enter manually
after it was strangely taken out ages ago. I only let the receiver reboot after loading the patch so not sure if a factory reset is required to activate the biss au although the biss menu has turned up so guess
not unless anyone knows differently.

Another untested patch release then , there was a time they got tested

Hey Ferret,
Yes, the Viarks work fine and just do the job reliably with no fuss.

I applied the SP1 to the TMs I have thinking IT, DE and UK might work, so that money has already been spent.

It looks like they are trying to do what the Viark is doing right now. It's good that they are having a go at this.
New patch releases at least demonstrates that the M4 is still being considered.

The new 4K box hasn't appeared yet and who knows when it will.

I do wholeheartedly agree that the patches should be tested before releasing them as it is not a good look when the
the thing they are trying to crack doesn't work.

Just to clarify where I think we are

Viarks rarely miss a beat as you know from owning several of them yourself and afaik Viarks have never had any FS sub removed unlike the M4, be it one that was included in the stb price or has been added at extra cost by stb owner at a later stage as you can testify, having owned both and also having suffered that fate like others having paid multiple times for the same FS then having updates removed from the M4 via 3rd parties for whatever reasons.

SP 1 will only ever work on the M4 if it has updated patch and the stb has the required resources to run the patch.

New patch does very little it says it would ref FS and autobiss etc.
Could even be an older patch reissued or held back previously for a later release so not sure there is any real ongoing support afterall.

New 4k single and twin ETA Q4

Patches are no longer tested as the people writing them have no access to many of the biss/powervu/tandberg channels etc reqd to test, and no longer have any one to test that for them now either so it's guess work.

On the face of what you wrote it does feel more like a ploy to start the M4 getting talked about again.

New Patch New Patch everybody buzzing yet nothing has improved.

Sorry for late reply it is both h and v transponders not clearing for biss au with this patch. It does not matter now however as being mentioned it has been removed.
