TM 5402-M3 Random signal dropout.

Hoping for a bit of help on this one. I have a TM 5402-M3 that keeps randomly dropping signal on feeds with lower symbol rates. For example I've currently got the FTA ashes feed on 24.5w with the signal showing 97% but the signal keeps randomly dropping out causing the picture to briefly freeze and glitch.

I'll note that it seems worse this morning since I updated to the latest phantompatch last night although it still did it before.

Thanks.

What is your signal quality?

I have 97% signal level and 76% quality on my 5202 M3 with no freezing etc.

I'm using 1.16p just now, newer patches don't work well for me.

117p seems to be the best overall patch for the M3 so you could try that although if the feed is DVB-S2 8psk then it will need a high signal level to maintain stability as these types of feeds are known to completely disappear at around 75% SNR on the TM's

Theres two bars, Didn't even notice the orange one! Orange is currently 93% and the blue one is hovering around 92% / 12.7db.

I'll have a go with the 1.16 down the line if I have to but I don't really want to loose PowerVU capability.

Thanks for the help, Much appreciated.

Right I've done a few tests. Plugged in an old SKYBOX F5 and the signal quality is bouncing around like a yoyo so that rules out either box. I then put a multi meter on the coax and checked the connections either end and all was spot on. That means that it's time to buy a new LNB.

Thanks to those that helped.
