tm 5400hd losing minutes and resets to 2017

hi all,
over the past few months my tm5400hd has frozen a few times and when i switch it off and back on the date goes back to june 2017 which is probably when i bought it,after adjusting the setting to the current date and time it then loses minutes over a few weeks i think it was about 20 mins behind before it froze again today, does this mean the box is about to die? it used to freeze in the past but the date and time never went back in time like it does now.

What version is it what SW is loaded?
Have you tried a factory reset or reload any SW on it?

So is the TM5402 M4 that you have or another model?

Also, the accurate time should be followed by the receiver when you choose
to use the "satellite" option rather than "network" to set the current time.

If he bought it 2017 it will be M3 model or older.
Time is normally picked up from transponders

yes tm5402 my mistake,i only ever once updated the software i think it was you that linked to an older software that i could load without using winrar/zip as i'd fogotten how to do it.

just looking at system info now and its definitely m3, s/w version is 1.46p (aug 2016) h/w version 1.00 boot version 3.00,i might still have the software loaded on a usb somewhere.
