Telefónica O2 Czech Republic has launched a promotion offering access to its IPTV service 'O2 TV' for 12 months for the price of CZK 300 (US$ 15.53) per month.
Customers must sign up to a 24-month contract between June 11th and August 16th to take advantage of this offer, which provides 29 linear channels and access to the service's video-on-demand and archives libraries. A high-definition set-top box must also be rented (for CZK 130 per month) or bought (for CZK 2,900) to take advantage of the offer.
The telco has reached nearly 132,000 customers for its IPTV service, according to Peter Matějovský, Director of Segment Marketing, compared to 113,000 at the beginning of 2009.
