Survey - How much channels do you have on your digital terrestrial television??

I'm from Portugal and here we have only 5 TV channels, wherein one of them is the Parliament TV.
There's no movies channels or news channels. There's 4 general channels, as they call it here. There's almost no football and very poor movies. Only crappy programs. It's A shame but it's true.

170 Digital terrestrial channels just using my TV Aerial and nothing else including Irish saorview and UK Freeview
RTE pack 9 channels ,BBC 1/2/3/4/News ,Film4, TruTV , PickTV ,CH5 UK , UTV & ITV Regions , Sky News and many others not really anything worth justifying subscribing to however but still i guess much better than your 5 Channels ,

Some sport mostly requires a subscription however but enuff channels to satisfy but all of which are on Satellite 28.2E FTA aswell however .

im sure everyone else in UK/Ire gets the same amount only minus the irish Saorview if living in UK as beam is just on Ireland for Saorview TV via TV Aerial .

infact ive never had to upgrade my TV Aerial since 1987 its stood the test of time really well ,

Well barney222, as I said, there are 5 crappy channels in the country and they dont even cover the all country, there's lots of people without access to the free tv in country, and Portugal is a small country!
An we all had to update 2 years ago, we ware "forced" to spend a few hundred euros on equipment or we would stay without tv.
Its a huge difference between the 2 countries! 170-5 isn't fair!

Yes, recently our DVB-T has improved a lot. I think the broadcasters have finally realised more eyes = more advertising revenue so we've gotten some nice channels like quest, yesterday that used to be only on Rupee Murdoch box.

All HD are AVC, SD are MPEG2

i would'nt Say exactly "FREE" we still have to pay a TV Licence @ €160 per Year ..

HD Channels ARE All DVB-T2 as far as im aware
RTE Saorview is MPEG 4 i believe
Everything else is DVB-T
i can get everything on that list provided by Trickyd-1 plus RTE Saorview aswell
RTE 1& +1 ,RTE 2 ,RTE News ,RTE Junior , TV3 ,3E ,Oireachtas politics channel

RTE Were supposed to be launching a movie & Sport channel
but thnx mostly to the idiot scum clowns we currently have in Government here funds were held back on that project .. and as a result the GAA Gaelic Sold out to Rupert Murdok and his mass millions $$$$ so now RTE is pretty much a channel to forget about now , little or no sport and just the localised Dublin News and not a lot else so trickyd-1 is not missing out on a whole lot anyways to be honest .

6 channels here in israel dvbt . nothing special tell now. No $$ paytv here and dvbt2 is on testing
