still can only download 2 files a day

Please don't refer to donations as payment for something.
People are free to decide if they want to help out or not. We are not selling anything.
Of course there is got to be some advantages if you decide to donate. Only one of them is higher download limit.
I've logged in to your account to make sure what you are saying is correct.
Anyway on first attempt of download I did get the error saying you'll be able to download again at 5:07PM tomorrow.
Then I've emptied the download limit for everyone.
And then downloaded 10 files with Firefox 3.5 and 10 more with IE7 and only then did I get the error that I can't download any more.
So unless you are using some browser other then IE or FF I really can't see how you would reach the limit at 2 files.
But we can clear it out and try to find where the problem is.
You could do a recording of your screen actions like in example I've attached.
You can do it with this software:
http://www.camstudio.org/CamStudio20.exe
It doesn't create that big of .avi file. I've recorded 18 seconds and it created 6MB file but amazingly when rared it only comes down to 230KB.
And please keep the windows clock on screen so we can be clear on the time frame.

Actually you don't have to bother with that screen recording. There does seem to be something peculiar about how your downloads are logged.
For example for the file in this thread it shows that you downloaded it 17 times and I assume you only did once.
Please pm me with browser and version you use to see if that has something to do with it.
And I'll try to find out more about what could be causing this.

But unfortunately I can't really account for how such tools will behave.
But it is indeed download managers. I've tried the one you use and downloaded 5MB file and I was logged 34 times. If I had a download limit I'd reach it right away I guess.
What can sort of help is if you go to connections tab of that tool and lower it to minimum that works for you. That will make it create less connections and you won't reach your limit so fast.
But unfortunately I can't really account for how such tools will behave.
